Let me see if I get this last propaganda spin lie fed to the Junk Media by the Democrats right. After the worst sort of slime bag gutter politics and demagoguery for the last 6 years suddenly we are all suppose to play nice since the Dems finally managed to lie their way back into power?

I do not think so.

They think they run things but believe or not, President Bush has a veto pen and we still have more then 40 Conservative Senators to filibuster with.

They need to get along with us. WE can stop anything they want. Let us see if Democrats are stupid enough to forget that fact

I agree as well.. Clinton would be in front of the cameras touting that a kid got a job at McDonalds if there were enough hours in the day.. Bush, I believe, had too much faith in people seeing through media BS...

Yes. I have a terrorist living downstairs. Around 1pm everyday he turns on this recording of prayers. My dogs just hate it. Then he starts chanting, the volume goes up. It gives me the creeps. At night he's got Farsi TV on. I can hear the broadcast in the whole building.

Fortunately, we'll only be here for a few months while our house is being built.

I stomped on the floor last night and he turned the Farsi down.

I just looked up and realized it is a perfectly gorgeous day and I am sitting here making completely meaningless arguments about what is past and done.

People, just walk away from it. Let the wounds heal a bit. We got lots of time to fix what is broken. The Dems do not get control until Jan 2007. Next chance to fix things is the Primaries in 2008.

Right now we are all running on anger and fear and frustration. Not real conducive to thinking and planning. Quit picking at the scab. This too shall pass.

Actually, employers prefer illegals to amnesty. Illegals are not subject to minimum wage laws. If they were amnestied then they would be. Employers mostly want the status quo, a lot of illegals that they don't have to pay much to.

Yes, of course. I should have been more precise. But even after the illegals are given citizenship, their huge labor pool will drive wages down (except, of course, in idiot states like mine where they've passed minimum-wage increases set in stone in our state constitution, without regard to inflation--don't get me started). So many employers will still want them.

And, of course, the huge new labor pool will be a juicy target for Dems who will use them to legislate for a high national minimum wage, and for unions who will use them to increase union power both economically and politically.

I don't mean to be gloomy here--just discussing the issue.
