Let me see if I get this last propaganda spin lie fed to the Junk Media by the Democrats right. After the worst sort of slime bag gutter politics and demagoguery for the last 6 years suddenly we are all suppose to play nice since the Dems finally managed to lie their way back into power?
I do not think so.
They think they run things but believe or not, President Bush has a veto pen and we still have more then 40 Conservative Senators to filibuster with.
They need to get along with us. WE can stop anything they want. Let us see if Democrats are stupid enough to forget that fact
We lost a battle, the war goes on.

Actually, employers prefer illegals to amnesty. Illegals are not subject to minimum wage laws. If they were amnestied then they would be. Employers mostly want the status quo, a lot of illegals that they don't have to pay much to.

"Repubs need to ACT conservative, not just talk." Thanks for the rational defense of Savage.
I agree with most of what you say. However, when I get mad at Republicans in power, I don't need to hear someone rant wildly about Conspiracy theories and such, but someone who rants against it in a rational and inspiring way.

Nancy Pelosi promising bipartisanship!
HA!!!
Points 1 & 2 of posting 95
- The "New Tone in Washington" has been a failure. It was a failure from the moment soon after 9/11 when Nancy Pelosi said that the Democrat party stands "Shoulder to Shoulder with the President". We were then all treated to one State of The Union address after another where the Democrats sat on their hands like spoiled children. The Democrats are yet another group that refuse to be honest brokers and only see weakness in diplomacy. They have proven that, even in time of war, even with a lack of working ideas, the only important thing is that they retain power. They have shown that they are only interested in negotiating from a position of authority and will undermine all honest attempts at diplomacy until their primary goal of authority is reachieved. As such I believe that the GOP should drop the "New Tone" and only consider negotiating when it is in line with a truly conservative platform, until then, filibuster.
- The Democrat party has for sometime been trying to disguise who they really are and what they really believe. But through their actions, voting records, and smear campaigns they show their hand pretty plainly. The GOP, in a spirit of bipartisanship, has either chosen through politeness or ignorance to play along with this disguise. I personally believe that in order to move forward effectively we can no longer afford to define things in fuzzy terms. The Democrat party of Scoop Jackson and Zell Miller has not been taken over by "hard leftists pretending to be moderates", it has been taken over by Marxists of a Stalinist bent. This has been openly recognized by some honest and brave talk show hosts like Mark Levin. I believe that the GOP should refer to the Democrat party as such from now on.

I take the opposite view as the Libertarians on this was my point.. I don't believe in legalizing illegal drugs and I believe it is fine to keep some of our current control safeguards in place regarding prescription drugs..

I think that the failure of the Administration to use the Bully Pulpit at the President's disposal - pointing out the failure of congress to move on an energy policy, a social security policy, tort reform, and immigration - contributed to the demise of the GOP majority. Folks just got tired of Gotcha Politics. I agree that it was a significant contributing factor. Believing that the obvious correctness of conservative positions makes it unnecessary to constantly educate the public is a serious error.

Just got back from a meeting.
If we did two things: 1. Restored responsibility for actions(for the dork who takes drugs then causes damage behind the wheel) and 2. Legalized all drugs and prevent minors from getting access; I would then be for the legalization of drugs. Let the retards who want to abuse drugs go ahead. In one month, after the news does nightly reports of OD deeaths, like they do for the War on Terror, the rest of us will be wise enough to not abuse drugs.

Rush was talking about the Brie. I have a great recipe. I take a round large Brie and cut the top off and sprinkle some brown sugars and Walnuts and a little butter and bake it. It is marvelous with the wine! YUM Trying not to make male chauvinist comment about the Rush thread devolving into recipe trading.
