Rush Limbaugh Live Thread Thursday Nov 9, 2006

Let me see if I get this last propaganda spin lie fed to the Junk Media by the Democrats right. After the worst sort of slime bag gutter politics and demagoguery for the last 6 years suddenly we are all suppose to play nice since the Dems finally managed to lie their way back into power?

I do not think so.

They think they run things but believe or not, President Bush has a veto pen and we still have more then 40 Conservative Senators to filibuster with.

They need to get along with us. WE can stop anything they want. Let us see if Democrats are stupid enough to forget that fact

We lost a battle, the war goes on.

I would offer a somewhat different post-mortem ... I think that the failure of the Administration to use the Bully Pulpit at the President's disposal - pointing out the failure of congress to move on an energy policy, a social security policy, tort reform, and immigration - contributed to the demise of the GOP majority. Folks just got tired of Gotcha Politics.

Of course that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

It won't until states are involved. I think the minutemen have helped bring attention to the long-neglected border security situation.

I would think that losing what was thought to be a "safe" seat should have consequences.

I agree 2008 is a long way off, but the campaign starts in January. That's not much time. If Allen is a good candidate, he will have to prove it on the National level. The loss of the senate seat is a definite strike against him.

IMHO.

I think this is what Bush wants so he can get his shamnesty plan through. I think that this is the main thing he wants passed before he leaves office.

IMO, George Bush knows what he's doing regarding the amnesty for Mexican illegals.

Why turn the Hispanic voting bloc over to the Left, wholesale?

Why give the Democrats another minority bloc where they garner 90% + support?

Try to be a "big picture guy". They're here and they aren't leaving.

If the GOP can get 25% of the Hispanic vote it will be considered a smashing accomplishment.

Even though I know it's futile, I always show up and vote. My district isn't as heavily skewed as yours, but the Dems made sure after the 2000 redistricting that it was enough.

:(

I'd say yes if you're not Conservative socially.

For the most part, I'm a radical Conservative socially with a few small odd thoughts.. My main Libertarian leanings are economic, where I mostly differ is legalization of drugs and their current isolationist trends..
