"This forum is seeming more like DU every day."
Yep, and I'm very close to stopping my monthly donation of a dollar a day.
Why pay for the venom of the Republican haters, who want to destroy our party, and hate our president worse than the DUers.
Most are probably Freeploaders, who have never:
1. Been a monthly donor,
2. Posted a positive reply or post about GW or Republicans.
I don't subscribe to Time, Newsweek, the Ny Slimes, LA Slimes, the San Francisco Gayrhonicle.
I refuse to pay for someone to slander my President, my party and what I believe in. If I want this BS I would go to DU.

Nice attempt at getting people who disagree with you purged. Come on, give people a break, people are naturally upset.

I'm a dollar a day donor too, but I'd rather run them off. I am NOT leaving FR, but I understand your sentiment.

There needs to be some vigorous discussion of the proper direction for this party, which will take some weeks or months to play out. Once that's done then there should be a reasonable expectation that party members will begin to fall back into line. Evidently Jim Robinson understands that, because the mods have not pulled many posts (that I've seen, at least).
While it's certainly within your right to stop donating, it seems as though you would rather create an echo chamber than a forum for conservative discussion. I don't see that as particularly helpful, and I hope the owner of this site is of a similar mind.

It definately is not a good year.
1. The election results Tuesday.
2. My Steelers are 2-6.
3. W has to have lunch with Polusi today.

I agree. It's time we American's stand up for what this President has fought so hard for, for so long. He is a wonderful man and I love him and it hurts to hear bad things being said about him, especially from those who claim to support him.
Given all he's been given in his time as President is more than anyone should have to bear. But he's done it with grace and a "cowboys" style and I for one, am quite impressed that he's still going strong.
He's human and has made mistakes. But I refuse to hold them against him. Compared to "other" Presidents, he's done one hell of a good job.
MAY GOD BLESS PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH and guide him through the remainder of his term. Prayers go out.

I agree with you that in the last few days, I have seen some of the stupidest posts, and heard the most ridiculous commentary from "conservative pundits".
I'm not giving up on FR, yet.

What are you so afraid of? Confronting the glaring failure that was Tuesday night? There's nothing more paralysing than sycophantic myopia. What USED TO separate us from the Democrats was that we demanded MORE. The Kennedy Democrats became the Carter Democrats because they kept accepting the plate of shit that was handed to them from LBJ to Clinton. They kept accepting it because all they cared about was power, and not the principles for which the Trumans of the world stood. The GOP is in grave danger of becoming the carbon copy of what happened to the Democrats, and believe me, it's not because conservatives are ready to hold the president accountable and demand changes. You and all the rest of the "GOP, right or wrong" crowd are responsible for the great 12-year Congressional Sleepwalk that left us with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
You want this party to become the mirror image of Carter Democrats? Keep acting like this. The foundation of the Reagen Revolution had nothing to do with "GOP" and everything about "PRINCIPLE".
Disagreement isn't fatal. Compromise is.

THANK YOU!
This place is a mirror image of DU right down to the increase in vulgarity and profanity...albeit posted with clever placeholder letters.
If things don't settle out VERY soon there is no sense in staying around. I am SICK of the "it's all Bush's fault that Rino who should be impeached" attitude that has taken a toe hold here.
And I am pretty sure I am not the only one.

We just lost a big election and people are going to vent. This is to be expected and I'm sure there will be a shaking out period. Some people are going to move on, others will join in. Alliances will shift. People will sharpen their objectives and goals.
Some are saying we have two years to regroup and recover our direction, but I don't think that's right. If we don't want to lose it all in '08, we'd best get our house together immediately.
We need to continue supporting the president and our troops, but we also need to focus on direction and candidates for the next election. And, of course, we're gonna be awfully busy at the same time fighting off Pelosi, Reid & Co in the Congress. Hope the shake out period doesn't last too long.
Arguing about what could've been, or should've been too long is counter productive. Best spend some time on getting together on what should be and can be done next to succeed.
I also don't see any value in spending the next two years absorbed in Bush/GOP bashing. Best get our wits together and concentrate on the battles to come. I for one do not relish the idea of living under the Democrat thumb for the next 40 years.
