The comments on this and other threads do not in general constitute "a discussion". It's very similar to what we hear and read from Hollywood, the media and the Dems about President Bush. Childish insults get us nowhere. And I do believe he is doing his best, against all odds. Imagine dealing with the type of media he has faced...every day. And the threats of 9-11, terrorists, Katrina, the recession he inherited, a Congress that will not cooperate or do much of anything, etc. I do not know how he has done it and kept his sanity and his resolve. But he has.

You think this is hard-- try being a soldier or the father or mother of a soldier and having to watch this pathetic whining and wondering if even the sane Americans are still on the side of the Commander in Chief.

I am active duty, and I don't mind a little carping. It's not the President I have the real problem with, it's the fools who voted to once again go on a vacation from History.

Ya'll vent all you want-- the enemies (internal and external) are all listening and laughing at you...

So what? If this isn't the place to freely express your opinion, then name one. Whether or not some retard at DU gets a chuckle out of this thread is irrelevent.

This was not a big win for a sixth year of a wartime Presidency at all. Most of the Dems who won are conservative to moderate. his thread has become hothead heaven with multiple posters arguing without evidence that we lost because their pet issue was not emphasized or lost.

PHEH

Wait for Barone and Jay Cost to analyze more complete data..but my guess is that media coverage of "scandals" and local issues were more significant than your pet theories.

The Dems already said Bolton won't be approved by their congress.

He never was approved by the Republican congress either.

LOL They're parsing words again. Thank you for translating.

What are you so afraid of? Confronting the glaring failure that was Tuesday night? There's nothing more paralysing than sycophantic myopia. What USED TO separate us from the Democrats was that we demanded MORE. The Kennedy Democrats became the Carter Democrats because they kept accepting the plate of shit that was handed to them from LBJ to Clinton. They kept accepting it because all they cared about was power, and not the principles for which the Trumans of the world stood. The GOP is in grave danger of becoming the carbon copy of what happened to the Democrats, and believe me, it's not because conservatives are ready to hold the president accountable and demand changes. You and all the rest of the "GOP, right or wrong" crowd are responsible for the great 12-year Congressional Sleepwalk that left us with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.

You want this party to become the mirror image of Carter Democrats? Keep acting like this. The foundation of the Reagen Revolution had nothing to do with "GOP" and everything about "PRINCIPLE".

Disagreement isn't fatal. Compromise is.

I have a problem with exactly who and what constitute a "true conservative voice" because the goal posts are constantly moved.

Each poster has their own pet agenda, and let the politician veer one iota and by golly, that pol is immediately labeled a RINO or a sell out.

Denny Hassert to assume the Presidency.

With his new pal, William Jefferson, D-LA as VP.

English not your first language?

I've been a strong supporter of the President in spite of his critics. He may know what he's doing and he may still be able to lead.

But anyone who doesn't think that yesterday he kicked us while we were down is just not paying attention.

"Of course, many of the most vociferous, were bashing Bush and the GOP all long, --- all the while proclaiming that they were the base. HAR, the base always votes, the fringers do not."

Please, show us some proof of what you speak. I only see lots of posts saying that people voted for Republicans on here. Even those of us on here who have been very critical of the RINOs and Bush in the past two years voted Republican. I've seen quite a few posts saying just what mine have: Angry as heck at the RINOs, but voted Republican. People may have threatened to vote otherwise, but so far, I see no proof that they did.

I think the theory that it was primarily the less interested Republicans (in other words, those who aren't intrested enough to post on a message board) who failed to turn out is probably correct.

Are you a monthly donor?

Can you show us a single reply or post supporting our president, since he became president?

Exposed, by who? The mediaWHORES...surely you jest!! The RNC has to regroup and find a way to reach those uniformed folk who constantly sit in front of their tube being brainwashed like sheep...WE THE PEOPLE OF THE USA who LOVE the USA must take a stand...I'm on fire and I'll be DAMN if I'm gonna let the FREAKIN RATS win and make us miserable this next two years. WE MUST start the fire and start calling the RNC to fight back! We MUST demand that they use folk with clear and new ideas. FREEPERS....we need FREEPERS in the RNC!!
