Bush to make statement with his cabinet in Rose Garden at 11:35 AM...
I was going to try not to come on here today... but wow, does it look like we have a bunch of trolls in our group today trying to stir the nest??
I'm on a news black out --- I might make an exception.
What's up? Bolton gone now too?
What's this about? The election's over.
Hello... We lost.
Elections have consequences.
"Where is Condi?"
Standing in the wings with her resignation due to her previous failed recommendation of a duly elected terrorist state.
Au contraire mon ami!
Dubya ditched us long ago.
I was maybe 10-12 years old. I didn't know what a Gaydar was.
A blast from his passed!
He believe is global warming.
(In the Rose Garden on November 9th!!!!!!)
Thank you :)
Spew! lol Pinging Benedict Arnold!
Lighten up, Francis!
Some of us still love the lug, but we need time to lick our wounds, and until SOMEONE steps up to the plate with the courage of conservative convictions, the roast will continue.
Thanks. You missed it completely.
"does it look like we have a bunch of trolls"
Not trolls, just disenfranchised conservatives.
Come on! I pray the republicans learned from what happened. We do not need to turn on our own. Bush has been weak but he doesn't deserve what is being said about him on this thread. This is what the rat's want. If they divide us then they will win again. Let the people see what they voted for. In 08 they will be begging for GOP to be back in power. The people don't know what they elected and that is the republican leaderships fault because they should have made things clearer.
Ooh 45 more minutes. I think I might die of suspense...except then he'll announce he had a really nice cabinet meeting, thank Rumsfeld again for his service, and walk off.
Bush is coming on so very strong right after the election-and he will continue to do so right into January--showing how he can get along with this Congress, how he's reaching out, how he's a uniter not a divider. He TRULY means that on his crappy Amnesty plan, but other than that he knows damn well these people hate him and oppose everything else he wants.
So what happens when the Dems take power and start impeachment and "repositioning"?
"Wow, Bush has really been trying to work with these people, but look how crazy liberal and out of the mainstream they are!"
Bush didn't go his own way for six years and then the other day decide "OK, gonna roll over now." It doesn't make sense.
The master of the rope-a-dope fumbled Tuesday, but do you seriously believe that means he's just going to give up now? Really?
No. he's doing what he can with what he's got. Yeah, he'll get that crappy amnesty unless the Republicans start ACTING like Republicans and use every procedural trick to stop it, but even there Bush can say "I tried, so when these Dems start gettin' nuts, don't blame me."
The battle for 2008 has begin; only Bush seems to know this. And everyone here is just pissing on him. He's far from my ideal conservative, but at least he's doing SOMEthing in this new DC landscape instead of whining. He's hitting the ground running with the gift the Libertarians and stay-at-home complainers gave him. Who else is doing anything to deal with the new reality?
We don't know. Drudge had that up briefly yesterday and then it was gone
Amen
