The containers' contents, which consisted of mostly perishable foods or liquids, have disappeared over time. No pickeled Herring?.......

From a Biblical history perspective - would this be duriong the time of "Judges"? or is this further back to the original conquest of Caanan by Joshua?

More proof that the Jewish people were in Eretz Israel long before mo'med, islam, and the "palestinians" were a gleam in Beelzebub's eye!

Before you jubilate, nothing in the article suggests this was an Israelite site.

Hmmm. I wonder if they found any Caananite Nephalim remains?

This is well before the time of the conquest by Joshua, which was, I believe, around the 1400's - 1300's B.C. My Bible says that Abraham lived about 2166-1991 B.C., and Moses was born around 1526 B.C.

Well....(drat, and I was getting all happy)....it does show that there were non-muslims in the area long, long, before mo'med, islam, and the "palestinians" were even thought of.

"...Abraham lived about 2166-1991 B.C.,..."
So 2,000 BC plus 2006 AD is about 4,000 years - about the time that Abraham left Iraq with his family and headed west.

Some scholars would put the dates of Abraham and Moses quite a bit later. The first firm date for the Israelite presence in the land of Canaan is a stele of Pharaoh Merneptah shortly before 1200 BC which mentions Israel.
Jersualem wasn't captured by the Israelites until King David--see 2 Samuel chapter 5. The people whose graves were found may have been the ancestors of the Jebusites who taunted David, thinking their city couldn't be captured.
To: Psalm 73
No, this would go back to the approximate time of Abraham, which is before there were Jews. Abraham was in Ur and eventually made his way to the area. This is really an ancient find!

In point of fact, they did find Nephalim remains.
The bones of the human bodies found are in fact the remains of a modest Nephalim meal.
