Yeah, that what I was taught in HS and college. The Earth is cooling and we should prepare for the next Ice Age, because it's coming in a few centuries. NYC will be under a mile thick ice sheet and there's nothing we can do about it.......

You're actually the most informed skeptic I've ever encountered in terms of being knowledgeable about where the real uncertainties are. Monckton doesn't match your command of the subject. And I'm totally unimpressed that he's borrowing heavily from CO2Science.
Lowell Ponte (author of that book) wasn't really a scientist. His main line of work has been a radio talk show host, and he's done some writing and editing.
I believe that is Mark Twain as well.
Nicely put. Facts are often inconvenient and have to occasionally be "adjusted" to support a particular viewpoint. The UN is very good at this.
That's why Islam allows four wives: 2 to pull the plow; one to steer it; and one to take care of the house, haul the water, fix the meals, take care of the kids, peel Master's grapes....
