Here's the thing guys. The Dem's have two options now that they have control. Bow to the left and lose the swing that voted for them last night or stay in the middle and lose the left base. (which will vote indy and green when pushed)
I think we just got a blessing in disguise

Well, alrighty then. It's time to sit back and watch how the Democrats will fix everything. I'm sure they have an awesome plan for success in Iraq, they'll give our troops the support and respect that they deserve, they'll secure our borders and crack down on the illegals, they'll save babies, they'll help our economy continue to grow beyond our wildest imaginations all while keeping our taxes low, and most importantly of all, they will fight the WOT and save us all!
All of the Republicans who helped get the Dems into office can now step forward and take a bow. As Howard Dean would say, "YYYYYYYYYEEEAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

It's a sad day when you have to vote democrat to stay conservative. It's a VERY sad day for me to have to read such an assinine comment on Free Republic.

we knew it was over yesterday, now there are no more excuses for the dems i expect the following campaign promises to be met out of iraq quickly less then 2 gal gas capturing obl They cannot blame Bush what say you know nancy, harry, hillaryAre you kidding me? Things will most certainly get worse, or in the best case stay the same, but don't think that they will be held responsible.
I actually see the dems purposely trying to make things either worse or stay the same. This way, when it comes time to elect a new president they will be able to say that they weren't able to make improvements because of resistance from the republican White House. Their arguement will be that their majority in Congress was nice, but that it is essentially useless unless the president is also a democrat.
They will not impeach Bush, and they won't try to push through anything too radical to scare off the swing voters before the 2008 elections.
I can see this coming as plain as day.

No doubt Soros' plunge protection team took care of the stock market today. Watch for the roller coaster effect as they sell short, and manipulate the prices to get their money back.
Watch out big pharma, energy, and Walmart. You're in the site of their gun barrel.

The only good news today is that God is still sovereign. And John Kerry is not President.

So the Dems get this with $2.08 cents a gallon gas, 4.4% unemployment, a great roaring economy, a war where no battle was yet lost and a sky high stock market. Now, let's see what they do to that. Bookmark this post please...
Does anyone have GDP statistics, by quarter, going back to year 2000?

We can always re-nominate Harriet Miers. Minority democratic leader Ried and the democrats were very supportive of her nomination.

I'm sure the drive-by media will really hold the Democrats' feet to the fire on all that. Still looking for the pony in that big pile of horse manure, are you?

Sorry, it's time to face reality. If the Party heads left like Bush wants to do, it's going to become a minority party for years to come.
Yesterday was not a defeat for conservatism. Conservatives will bring the party back to its former glory. I was so pleased to hear that Rush is ready to lead the charge on that front.

I know we were into months of a inherited recession with Clinton, got slammed with 9-11 which was a financial hit as well.
We also caught companies being bad like Enron which was happening under Clinton and prosecuted under Bush.
That is a starter for you. :-)
