Democrats win control of Senate with Jim Webb victory in Virginia.
Well there is argument for both here. I am shocked that Bush would get another retread form his Father's Administration for Defence Sec. Gates as I remember had a tough time getting Senate confirmation for CIA Director and I served a very short time before Bush I left office.
It's amazing. When Democrats win, all of these huge problems just vanish like a fart in the wind.
Is it ever. The libs already have a majority on the Court. All we need now is for another Justice Kennedy to be nominated after a series of other failed nominations thanks to the Dems. That "justice" makes me sick.
Sorry, both conservatives and RINOs lost. It was a mix. A lot of the conservative candidates were running against Democrats who were copying their campaigns.
Moving this party to the Left and compromising with the likes of Pelosi will ruin the party. Mark my words.
I'm a little worried about the confirmation hearings with respect to Gates.
I will miss Rumsfeld, a lot.
Will be lucky if RINOs don't jump ship to the DEM's side
Bad news for the Supreme Court.
Bad news for the troops.

Yeah, losing is a great strategy for winning. You've been snacking on too much catnip, Paco. :O)
nothing that I know of
"Moving this party to the Left and compromising with the likes of Pelosi will ruin the party. Mark my words."
From what I am hearing, the opposite will happen. Tom Delay said republicans will get back to the things we ran on in '94. Delay also said that more than 18 of the seats won by dems in the House were real sqeakers. The GOP knows not to go left.
What ties? With 6 or more pure RINOs there would rarely be a tie unless a few blue dog dems helped us out.
Glad to hear it.
The Prez's problems, the place in time
when he started going off course was,...
When time after time..He had Sadr and hid
murdeers in a box, and he let him get out.
He never should have let Sadr and his
torturing killers survive the first time,
much less the times that followed.
And now, Sadr is a much greater problem.
That's when he went wobbly, and stopped
listening to good advice, and started
listening, to the hedge betting, half
steppin, never victoroius, equivocal
losers.
Exactly.
I find it amazing how much I hear this type of statement on FR. "The Democrats will have to do this, of they will look like hypocrites." or "Now the Dem's have to do something about this because they are in power and will get the blame."
That is shamefully underestimating the willingness of the media to cover, lie, obfuscate and generally flush down the memory hole anything they need to to help the liberals.
Anything wrong that happens in the next two years will be exclusively the fault of Bush. And by the end of January we will start seeing reports about the robust economy, increased wages, low gas prices, and all of it credited to the new Democrat Congress.
Count on it.
" I was angry enough to stay home, and I hope Bush got the message that many like-minded conservatives sent."
I voted for lower tax rates for you.
There is a lot of root cause blame to go around but in the end the conservative base didn't pull together against the real enemy and deserves what it gets. They bitched and moaned about Bush, Hastert and Frist not being conservative enough and now they get to watch Pelosi and company run the show. The dems will raise taxes, raise the minimum wage, kill SC nominees, kill the fence, etc. I lay the blame at their feet.
Didn't Bush say today that he can't wait to sign the "Immigration Reform" bill out of the new Democrat congress? Same for increasing the minum wage? Looks like the "Fairness Doctrine" can't be far behind.
