Sadly though common sense is practically non existent in this country as evidenced by the democratic sweeps. I'm just reeling in shock at how guillible people are & saddened to think that corrupt, immoral people won in races simply for the sake of 'change'.

I'm kidding on the "We're Doomed" comment...... though it could get worse in a couple years or it could get better. Time will tell.

don't fret - we're just eating ourselves is all. we'll get over it soon enough and get back to what we do so well.

Can we at least schedule an end to this Bonfire of Vanities?

Democrats cannot get elected on their core beliefs. They must be fraudulent to get elected.

Any con requires two to play. The one being "conned" knows, on some level, that the con artist is lying to them.

So the "poor, innocent misled voter" line is a load of BS. This is the second time in one generation that the American public has stabbed its warriors in the back. In other words, this is not a fluke.

If I get one vanity this is it. Left wing approaches are doomed to failure. They threaten our prosperity and our very lives. This is based on history and common sense. The enemy of a successful America is not a political party. It is wrong headed leftist thinking.

And yet, despite this realization, The GOP Leadership dropped the ball and gave the leftists another chance at imposing their socialist agenda on us?

That's why most of us Conservatives are angry. Didn't Ken Mehlman and the rest of the GOP Leadership realize how bad leftist ideas were on November 6?

We need to get rid of liberal Republicans in primaries, then take on the 'rats.

Thank you, that is exactly it. Conservatives that are marketable, electable and likable should be run to win in primaries, then whoever wins that Republican slot has to be backed.

Exactly, this was brought to us by the RINOs. Ya can't build a house when the foundation is rotting. We have been undermined from within for YEARS!

No, this is the second time in two generations that we've failed our troops by turning a battle into a political plaything. For Pete's sake, we sent troops into battle with..lawyers? That knife has our own fingerprints on it.

Oh, so your strategy is to go for even fewer votes in 08'.

Good luck with that.

Well I do think they were misled. Do you think new dems if they had run on their true core beliefs would have won.

I am not as cynical as you, the voters will find out that their playing with fire or putting their hands on a hit stove, will come to bite them back, especially in the pocketbook.

Bush does deserve some blame. He spends like a drunken sailor. Bush never did take on the MSM or the dems and still wants amnesty.

To use the religious model--Heaven is up there somewhere and Hell is down there some place. We exist somewhere between the two, the earthly plane. Nobody ever promised us a rose garden. We may have lost a battle but we have not lost a war. When I look at who in the House will be moving up to chairmanships it is like a carnival freak show: Dingle, Rangel, Waxman, Conyers with Nancy Pelosi the chief freak and John Murtha up there somewhere. In two years the public will have the dry heaves.

Support the President? He's just given the signal for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", which just happens to include increasing legal immigration to the level that will add between 60-100 million new immigrants in the next twenty years.

Why the (bad word) should I support a President who is willing to out and out destroy this country???????????

"The media refused to acknowledge their evil socialist agenda. Said that terms like "Communist" were divisive."

While curiously making no such claims when terms like 'Anti- choice,' or 'the Religous Right' are flung around like snowballs.

Sadly, everytime we try that we get told that a conservative can't win in the general election, and half of the base gets scared and nominates a RINO.
