I'm just sick to my stomach.
Rummy has been required to put up with all sorts of sh!t from all sides.
What a sad day."
Me also. I am more bothered by this and the implications with the WOT than I am over the loss of the House seats.

The media smells blood in the water and Bush sounds like he's on the defensive

No wonder the military industrial complex wanted Rummy out.
Great, now they can peddle more of their obsolete crap.

Rummy isn't a quiter. He was forced out. Bush's conference makes that fairly clear.
To: RushCrush
I will repeat that this is a bunch of crap.
You want me to believe that a bunch of commie pacifist pukes know what is better for our security ?
We are like the declining Roman Empire. The barbarians (Islamofacists) are at the gate, and all we care about is who will give us a better circus. Well, we have San Fran Nan as 3rd in line. God help the United States.
Thank you swing voters. We thank you very much. Enjoy the trained Donkeys. You killed all the Elephants.

"The hits just keep coming. Its safe to say that this time tommorow I couldn't imagine how horrible a 24 hour period this would be.
"
Don't let down your guard yet. There's more to come, I'm almost certain. It could even be Cheney next. I have no idea what would happen then.
Times are wierd.

I'll ditto this remark, tho it will be like post number 2 zillion.
Rummy should have quit/got the sack over a year ago.
Certainly after he moved the 172nd to Baghdad for 4 more months, after a year on station....that may have cost some Republicans in Alaska.....
An exCIA type seems to have the nod as a replacemant.

Boltons confirmation was one of the first things I thought about this morning. At the very damned least our party needs to get that done. We both know the dems will throw Bolton overboard with glee.
- and as a side note: I wish the president will stopped cracking wise with the reporters. Stop laughing. None of this is funny Mr. President.

-"Why cry? This should have been done a year ago. Lack of good planning cost all republicans" I totally agree. The 'Rumsfeld strategy' to conduct the Iraq campaign, i.e. blitzkrieg into Iraq with light army force (150,000-175,000 total force), was incapable of conducting an 'active' occupation force. We "PCd" the war effort, by short-changing our capabilities so as to "not offend" the ARABS, not attack and demolish the entire country, and incarcerate all the 'bad guys', and this is why we're in the mess we're in.
Many here can't see past the obvious. We all wanted the war. We all wanted to win. But it didnt happen to the successful conclusion that we all wanted, and it has been plainly obvious that we did not conduct and prosecute this was effort with the right approach.
After 3 years, the report card is in, and the Administration has gotten a "F"!

Yes, they will find another punching bag but it takes alot more energy for them to find a new punching bag than to keep punching the old one.
To: dirtboy
Heh. Interesting take, but if the Dems think they won because of their 'anti-war' stance (vs. opposition to Bush's dilatory prosecution), then I don't think so.
