No legislation will be enacted without Bush's signature either. He can stand his ground, if he wants to. Well, it seems the Bush is going to roll over...

It was spent by Hastert, DeLay, Foley, McCain, Powell, Spector and the list goes on

a "cut and run" from conservatives who don't follow his idea of what should be done.Well, I'm not listening, but it sure sounds like he's taking a page from a lot of Freepers around here.

Well said. I couldn't agree more.
I think we should all double our efforts to support this President in prayer. I know I plan to and have already started.

Tony Snow would have done it better, though. Tony for President in '08!After today's press conference, my first thought was "I wonder how much longer Tony Snow will want to be the face of this administration." Having to suck up to the left doesn't seem like Snow's thing.

Despite what Rush said, there was a two year nonstop effort by the drive by media to report everything in the war as a disaster despite the US Military winning every battle.
Despite the best economy of all time right this moment, highest stock market and lowered gas prices the press in my opinion managed to create a false impression that won the day for the Democrats.
Rush said the press wasn't the issue, then he went on for 20 minutes taking about the press influencing the elecion over the last two years.
Bottom line is the press gives a 3 billion dollar shot in the arm in free help every year.
We can be happy to at least know more people are seeing through this and they are dying out.
The reason they are effective enough this election is the younger new voters who don't know any better aren't educated and get snookered by believing all they hear in my opinion.
I agree with Rush that it is time to go back to what conservatism is for all future candidates.
I like the President on the war and tax cuts. I have hated him on prescription drugs and illegal immigration.
Our future candidates in regular states need to be more conservative.
In states in California shows you need to be more than just conservative, you need to be a good at marketing and likable.
McClintock has shown he is unmarketable despite some good views. (Perception and some slamming Democrat ads killed him IMO)
It is a watershed moment.
We need the type of guys who brought us the Contract With America.

Most people have no idea what legislation is passed. It only matters what they say
Depends on what your definition of "is" "is"

Thanks. Of course, I am aware of that.
My sarcasm to him was a result of an exchange on a different thread earlier today.
As you see he has already broken his promise to ignore me...but I know the rules here...I will not bite.
Appreciate your response, AQ.

I was looking forward to Rush's show today to some positive perspective, but I'm really disappointed ... he's joining the "cya" crowd and the fair weather FRiends on this thread.
I still think Bush is one of the best presidents, ever, but boy has he had a lot working against him. Can't we stand with him in his darkest hour?
To: Clint N. Suhks
It also shows how much the Dems can take for granted the black vote. SOme how, I think blue blood Repubs also refused to vote for a black man.

McCain is the big loser IMO.
2(R) of his gang of 14 were defeated. People don't like the wishy washys. He can't win.
Giuliani is the big winner.

I am his friend on his tax views and the war.
I am not a supporter of his illegal immigration views or his increasing of entitlements.

Who stood up for any of them?? No Republicans in office as far as I can recall, at lease none stood up for them for long.
Republicans in office tend to get out of the kitchen once it gets hot.
