The AP has already said Rick Santorum's 12-year Senate run is over, but his campaign is denying that -- and raising lots of complaints about voting irregularities. According to the AP, state Republicans asked Pennsylvania Secretary of State Pedro Cortes to investigate what they said were instances in at least 12 counties where voters allegedly tried to vote for Republican candidates but that the machines reflected Democratic votes.
Santorum's campaign said voters complained that votes cast for the Republican were registered on computers for his Democratic opponent Bob Casey.

Think of how many billions we could have saved over the years if we had only allowed AP to pick our politicians instead of this messy and expensive voting thing. How can anyone be so crude to argue or even disagree with a semi-literate J-school grad working election night in a hotel ballroom in Pittsburgh.
Sigh. When will we ever become sophisticated like the Europeans? < / sarcasm >
This message brought to you by the Tides Foundation, George Sorus, President.
They only have 7% Precincts Reporting.
Only 2% of the vote is in...a little early aren't you?
I still think Santorum will pull it out.
Fox did call it for Casey though.
Good on ya, Baldy!
At this hour in 2000 and again in 2004, Bush had "lost" too.
Don't buy the exit polls. They are a pure crap shoot and if the media were concerned with accuracy, they wouldn't waste their money on them.
And can someone explain why it is so important to call a winner 2 minutes after voting ends? Could we wait 2 hours, or even 2 days for the votes to actually be counted? If exit pools are all that necessary, why even vote. Just sign in with the college kid with the clip board standing outside the precinct.
CNN has called the race for Menendez and Kean is ahead with 51%
CNN has called 3 or 4 races with 0% reporting.
Not even close. My fellow Massholeians not only voted the Tedster back in for like the 50th time, but in their marxist wisdom has given us a guy named Deeeeeeeeeeeval Patrick as our new Democrap Governor.PA's got a long way to go to catch up to our little Stalinist state !!!
I don't really think so. Those are more media driven issues and I don't think many people changed their minds because of those things. I think Santorum supporting Specter against Toomey alienated many pro-life conservatives, some of whom would vote for Casey. Casey had the name and the ability to steal some of Santorum's social conservative mojo. Combine those factors with Iraq, and there you have it.
No, you're a little late.
14% of the vote is in and Casey has nearly twice the votes Santorum has.
64% to 36%.
It's a blow-out.
Well, they failed us on leadership. Immigration? Close the borders, yes! But deport the people here? It simply is unworkable. The pubbies side stepped leadership on everything accept the War. And that is a tough position. I have qualms about the war, yes, I see the point for being there. But, and this is the gut wrenching truth, on an emotional level, I have a hard time seeing those nuts over there and supporting one American youth dying in order to be in their nutty presence. Order instilled there? It seems an obscure possibility. V's wife.
I wasn't going by the exit polls--listening to conservative radio, but I agree the media are trigger happy when it comes to calling these things.
Kicking out Santorum is just as bad a reelecting Ted F'n Kennedy.
Don't worry...if Casey wins, he'll be a one termer. He is an empty suit with nothing upstairs. He only survives because of his deceased DAddy
Well polls showed Santorum's positions were very unpopular, just like the polls showed him trailing the entire campaign, just like the polls now show he out of the Senate.
I don't think it's all a coincidence.
You're correct about radio talk and Rush, their era has reached a nadir and Limbaugh has caused more harm to the party than his gigantic ego will ever accept. Poor fellow.
Really?
