Watching these web sites, it's impossible to figure out what the heck's going on.
Looking at the numbers on CNN (and the Secretary of State's website) there've got to be at leat another 40,000-50,000 votes out there, but I don't see where they're coming from - or where the votes adding up now are coming from, either.
Actually you are right. They created a representative republic.
But please tell me what you think should be done to get the people to "vote correctly".

Look, Libertarians have little in common with the current incarnation of the GOP. Complaining that the Libertarians stole votes from the GOP is like complaining that Greens did.
How is a Libertarian voter helping to elect a democrat? He isn't voting for the democrat and he has no desire to vote for the republican either. His vote is a wash.

Frankly, I'm surprised that Corker won, given his very lame campaign. "I'm from Tennessee, Ford's from DC..."
Glad that he did win, though. Surprised about Allen, but I don't know the local situation. Not too surprised about Ohio, though. DeWine was rather spineless, and there are/were some serious problems with the state GOP. That state really missed the boat on the governorship though.
Those aren't the SOS's numbers and include Broadwater and Glacier among other counties.
Meagher and Yellowstone are still out as is 75% of Fergus.
You know that immigration stuff was a loser for the Republican Party from the getgo. Bush was actually right on that issue and so was the Senate and the House wasn't. The House paid for it.

But it does. Every vote that does not go to the Republican opponent is one less vote that the Democrat needs to win the election. Say you have an election with three people and nine voters. Four vote for the Democrat and three vote for the Republican. The other two decide not to vote, but would vote for the Republican if they did vote. Are you telling us with a straight face that it makes no difference to the outcome if they stay home or vote for the third party candidate?
I don't know if Ford conceded, but it doesn't matter if he did or didn't.
Corker is ahead, but he was much further ahead before Davidson Co. came in, which was after the race was called for Corker. Knox Co. still isn't in. Knoxville is in Knox Co. and is 16% black. Although it is in eastern TN, and eastern TN is very red, in 2004, Knox Co. went 110k for Bush (62.5%), 66k for Kerry. This year, with everyone pissed off at the GOP, Knoxville being 16% black (and Harold Ford is black), and Corker not being a particularly inspiring candidate, the GOP may not fare nearly as well. Corker's lead shrunk a great deal in Davidson Co. (Nashville), a place where he should have done a bit better. All things considered, I still think there is reason to worry about keeping TN until Knox Co. is in. We have been seeing that the 2004 Bush vote has not been reliable in predicting an awful lot of races, so Bush's 62.5% in '04 could translate into something much smaller this year, in view of the other factors I cited. You see, in 2004, Davidson Co. went 55% for Kerry, but they went 60.5% for Ford tonight. If that trend follows into Knox Co., this race could go sour - probably not, but maybe. I don't think it's in the bag yet.
I Totally agree, blaiming Third party candidates is just a waste of effort.
It is simple, talk to more people about your issues get them excited about your platform and get them to the polls. That wins elections, all else is just noise.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of these yet to be reported counties had to be recounted because of shady voter registration by ACORN.
I think the President will order airstrikes on Iran if the Mullahs don´t cooperate fully. Iran is not going to get nuclear weapons!!

There's a good political strategy in here. After all, it took Clinton to victory in 1996 and it took Arnold and, literally, revesed the polls by, what, sixty points (from being down about 60-30 to up that way?).
It's really quite simple, now. Work out some kind of showey "deal" on Iraq and immigration. Get enough moderate Democrats to vote to make the tax cuts permanent. Accept the minimum wage increase...
And, blamo, Bush's approval numbers go back up to 60.
Of course, that means sacrificing important national priorities, but a good chunk of the Republican Party has shown that it's not willing to do so, so why shoud the President?
