"oh, be nice. On the other hand, be mean. Tomorrow's my birthday - you can hand me a red nation as a make up gift."Didn't mean to sound mean. I'll try on the red nation thingie - I've voted twice already!

(Proudly posting without reading the thread since 1998. (stolen from one cool dude))
How about a thread organized by ONLY the seats that matter to control........the up for grabs seats in house and senate?
To: Petronski
Sheesh yourself...when you have a single thread with literally hundreds of races...it's very difficult to find a specific result...much less keep track of it.
As I said, my preference is threads by state or by major contest. You have your own preference and are free to have it.
Anyhow...we've both been around here a long time, so the "the way it's always been done" doesn't carry much weight for me. Fact is, on election night, it's been done a lot of different ways here on FR over the years.

Let's scatter the results over 10 threads to make it more fun. Like a scavenger hunt.

One live thread for about 300 races of national interest? No one could refresh the thread fast enough to keep up.We've always done it like that before.
I don't like skipping from thread to thread.

But why isn't the Intermountain west all together? Questions, questions, questions...Well, no system is perfect.
Let's do like the cut and run conservatives and no longer visit FR until things are perfect. :)

A single thread gets too crowded.Since you've never been HERE when we had an election, how would you know?

Bellsouth has decided THIS was the day to move to new servers and older modems (which I have, boo!)are losing internet pages one by one.
FR is about the only thing coming in for me.
