Stunning. I hate to see him defeated.

Yes and Frist and Hastert both sat back and tried to be the good guys.

Hopefully, this crap ends. Now!

It does seem like the Republicans were really nice. I'm torn. It's clear that many of our Republicans who lost did refuse to stoop to the level of the sh-mear campaigns wrought by the vicious DNC who seemed to have no other platform, other than attack and smear. I don't know if it would have helped for the GOP to be that vicious in kind or not. But it is a huge loss, the losses here in PA alone.

Whichever one gets the most votes, there will be a recount. It would be nice if we went into the recount with Allen in the lead, but it looks like it will likely be Webb.

On the other hand, if the difference is 20,000 votes, the absentee votes are left uncounted because they will not change the outcome even if all of them go to the candidate that is behind in the regular count.

Please cite your sources for this.

I can't sleep, I'm in Hawaii and it's only 7. Maybe I should take a Advil PM. Nancy and Harry are on C-SPAN, I think I'm gonna scream or vomit, maybe both.

On a military note, we are in for a long haul, I hope my brothers and sisters in arms are gonna be okay. God Bless America

What the dems do depends on the Senate Republicans hold the senate, then dems will try to look moderate. They won't impeach because it won't work. But they will investigate Bush and everone else. No one will protecting us from terrorists because they will be busy preparing for investigations. The NY times will need to daily additions for all the leaks.

The good thing is that it will make me watch myself a little more on my endless jokes about Billyjeff being the new Bush41 son and Bush43 bro.

Mine really, really were jokes! Some of them were even borrowed from *Bar*!

How many times do I have to tell you that most of Shelby County is in? Now, ALL of Shelby County (Memphis) is in, according to the CNN tally. Yet Corker is up 51-48%.

Could we convince Lieberman to caucus with the GOP to keep it 50-50?

Agree with you on the MSM- They were successful in getting the sitcom 'moms' to vote democratic. A recent poll showed more than half did NOT know who Nancy Pelosi is. They vote based on the repititive talking points they hear that is the same in the MSM as in the Democratic party. I saw a photo of the new leadership in the house and it was frightening- Alcee Hastings, Jon Conyers, Henry Waxman...etc... My prayer is that this will be a turning point for the Republican party to renew itself and for new leadership to emerge within the Republican party. I don't believe that we can't turn this around next election- we just have to work harder and go back to being Regan Republicans.

So, the President had best make the war in Iraq considerably more offensive, because the alternative now is defeat. Sooner rather than later.

I think you're right there. If the President did anything wrong in Iraq it was in taking too defensive a posture. We should've laid waste before attempting to play defense. Somebody tell me again why Al-Sadr is still alive? The US needed to unleash pain on Iraq two years ago and that place would be so much farther ahead today.

Allen had 1,141,753 with 91.18%, and when Drudge posted that all the votes were in, his total dropped to 1,139,885.

See this post. CNN almost certainly has a 4000 vote typo in favor of Webb.

4. The President has failed for 6 years to educate the American people and rally them behind the troops. I love W, but his White house has been the worst communicators in my lifetime. If W had been using the phrase "Islamic Fascists" for 5 years, the Republicans would be in a lot better shape.

Winning hearts and minds at home sure helps with winning a war abroad. I guess W misunderestimated the intelligence of the Sheeple.
