Lost a NY house seat. The Northeast was really weak for us.

The recriminations will be interesting....

BTW, I don't buy the 29 seat nonsense...But it does look like we will lose more than 15, as predicted.

In a way, it is better than some expected. We should have lost 50. I was hoping we could keep it under 15...But I don't see that now.

Looks like we will keep the senate but the suspense may last until December.

I would not worry about the Iraq mission yet, things will stay the same until the Pres is retired. There are some lessons learned here.....I hope we can come to some agreement as to what they are....

Agreed. At this point, I'm seeing 49-51, Dems take control. What a DISASTER

I would point out that the people that are WINNING, are the people that did NOT want a fence..and WANT amnesty.

Chafee Lost and DeWine lost. So you are wrong about that. As for the House, the majority of the Democrats said they supported the House plan that are winning.

The MSM certainly played a role but the main thrust for the defeat lies in the union/dem alliance IMO not the media. Judging from some of my numbskulled students - they get their information from the entertainment world - music mainly - and are mainly against conservative values that they associate with Republicans. And they do vote...what many social conservatives do not do.

We need a 3rd Great Awakening..the punches thrown at conservatives by gays and media Rosies got the swing voters to go Dem. The rest are mainly union govt workers and blue collars and AARP types who think Eleanor Roosevelt is still alive in the DC.

In the House, Pence will run for minority leader and Shadegg for Whip. Conservatives. Sounds like they may be coming back.

"IT WILL HAVE A MAJOR EFFECT!!!"

Not only major in the Middle East but IMMEDIATE. The Iraqi leadership is in huge trouble, beginning tomorrow. They are going to have to make some serious decisions. Iran will come out swinging. We have just lost the war on terror and the results will set us back 25 years.

CBS projecting Dem majority in House.

Let's pause and remember:

-- no terrorist attack since 9/11/01

-- gas price at $2.08/gallon

-- increased take home pay

-- unemployment at 4.4%

Anything changes....we'll know who to hold responsible!

You completely misunderstood my post. Maybe I wasn't clear enough, so that's my fault. But come back in 3 years and then tell me how much of an accomplishment this "no attack on our soil since 9/11" thing is.
