my worst nightmare is coming true, a Speaker Pelosi.

It really could be worse.

Pelosi + Reid...now THAT's a nightmare.

Go Guam! My DH is on a business trip there right now, overseeing a housing project for our military. We're pulling troops out of Okinawa and moving them to Guam. He's making sure they get the kind of homes they deserve.

Well, I don't want to call anyone a troll. I do think we have missed a great opportunity. Look, if we do hold on to a slim margin, it's still going to be a very difficult time over the next few years.

Off year elections are always tough, but ignoring your base until a few months before the election is just plain suicidal. I think illegal immigration and the president's firm stance against what most folks wanted, was a mistake. Waiting until a few months ago... shaking my head.

Looks like Dewine may have a sliver of a chance. Of course if Lucas county still has to turn in votes...forget it.

Cuyahoga is not in yet, either. The OH SOS webpage just crashed, too.

"I propose we force freedom on these maniacs so that the people they live with and break bread with are too busy making money and inventing things and trading with US to have the time to bother with killing you."

You can't FORCE freedom on someone.

I can't imagine that this many Americans voted to surrender the war on terror.

There have been other nominees for best post already, this one truly says it all for me.

Unbelievable! We're going to get what we don't deserve.

That is because the voters that care about the issue stayed home because they were disgusted with both parties.

Well that was a great plan.

Almost half the country voted for a man who called US soldiers baby-killers, torturers etc - and who has never apologized for that statement. A man who has hated the military for 30 years. And that was in 2004, when memories of 911 were clearer. It IS frightening.

True. Where do most Americans get their learnin' from? (rhetorical)

"DeWine should never have been retired before that nasty crooked Voinivich."

Yeah and if Brown has really unseated DeWine then Ohio's Senators will be a "whiny liberal crybaby duchebag" and Sherrod Brown. (Yes I don not like Voinabitch" and I had to hold my nose to vote for DeWhiner)

Come on Curt spill your guts on the senate floor.

Why all this Lieberman-love? He doesn't love us in return. He's a Democrat and has promised to stay a Democrat.

Because Lamont is so far to the left that he makes even Lieberman's voting record look conservative. He's not even doing the usual "talk right, vote left" thing.

I am sorry to see Rick go. He was a damned prophet when it came to that Lawrence v. Texas decision, and everyone pilloried him for stating the obvious.

Hi, FRiend... haven't heard from you in awhile. :o)

Rick Santorum is such a class act. I really hope he doesn't "disappear"... I would love to see him back in some higher office.

I am just sickened by the results tonight. I can't believe Michael Steele and Bob Ehrlich lost in your state as well... I thought each of them had a fighting chance in their races. Oh well, in Connecticut at least we got rid of far-left moonbat Ned Lamont. Some of our House races are nail-biters though... 3 that used to be "safe" GOP seats...

I keep asking, but get no response: Why the Lieberman love? He's a Democrat. A liberal. And has promised to vote for Reid for majority leader. I have no use for him.

I wonder that also.

Of the things the "Reagan Democrats"
are concerned about

a) Many good paying manufacturing jobs are now gone to China.

This is myth !
What manufacturing jobs that went to China almost none were high skill therefore good paying jobs. Of that category probably more went to Ireland!

b)Many great families in this country are worn out after 3.5 years of having their sons and daughters in Iraq.

Key mistake was not declaring war after 9/11. Also going in too light in Iraq. (BUT I don't know if that was avoidable after Turkey stabbed us in the back!)
I partially agree BUT point out WW2 was 9/1939 to 8/1945.
However we are fighting a very PC "whoops-got-to-check-with-the-lawyers-first-war"

c)Many are concerned about Mexican immigration.

I agree Bush did botch this!
