All right, folks. Guess I have to do it again around here and hand out the chill pills.
1) It is absolutely clear to me that we have won this. We will keep the Senate, and I'm 90% sure we keep the House. We'll probably gain a seat, maybe two in the Senate.
2) I know this from the turnout numbers, just as I did in 2004. The fact is, forget Indies. They don't vote in high numbers. It's all about the two parties, and who gets out their base.
We have done that today beyond my wildest expectations. The info we have from the Hotline on turnout is overwhelming, and in virtually every key state, we have exceeded Dem turnout by 2, 3, 4, or 6%.
As I predicted, we are seeing a Dem UNDERVOTE. They are underperforming, esp. in key states such as OH. However, they are underperforming far worse than even I dreamed. We are looking at 20% in Cuyahoga County! Brown and Strickland couldn't get elected dog catcher with that level of support.
SO HERE IS WHAT TO EXPECT: THE MEDIA IDIOTS HAVE THEIR TEMPLATES. THEY WILL BE VERY SLOW TO COME AROUND. IT WILL BE A LONG NIGHT, BECAUSE THEY WON'T BELIEVE THEIR EYES.
They may even "call" a few House races, maybe a Senate race, based on some ridiculously low "exit poll" and have to recant later. Be patient. The turnout numbers suggest we absolutely cannot lose.
Only 27% reporting on that one though...give it time to catch up.
..too negative--have some faith Tex...
I still have a copy of "weight of the world" and still cry when I read it. I sent it to everyone I know. When I read it I can still see GW walking back to his seat. How can America forget those days?
I have faith in Jesus Christ.
I have NO faith in the US voting public.
LS is probably doing what I would. Waiting until tomorrow for the results. Gloating would be much more fun or admitting defeat much easier after a good night's rest than one spent arguing. 'night y'all.
GOP losses will be approximately the averge of all recent elections in the 6th year of a presidency.
It's obvious you are right. Bush will not have any votes to pursue Iraq. But after the troops come home, watch out. I fear we will be seeing airliners flying into the Sears Tower.
Victory just wasn't in the stars tonight - Thanks for fighting the good fight ls

>>The simple fact is this:
>>
>>Most Americans want us out of Iraq.
With the constant negative drumbeat by the drive-by media for the last 3+ years, this is no surprise.
LOL...I like IRON CHEF; especially the original Japanese version. It's a bit like watching the first GODZILLA movies. :-)
The anti-Iraq sentiment is far, far greater than I thought, and since Bush won't have the votes now to really fight, we're looking at some terrorist activity, up close and personal, in a short time.
Karl Marx laid the game plan. It might have taken 80+ years to implement but the socialists have essentially taken over our educational institutions, our media and now, our government.
God forbid they lay their hands on our military. We're in the fight of our lives. I will not back down!
Time to start a new game plan. They will not sink this country in my lifetime if I have anything to say about it. Regroup time on Wednesday. I'll go to my grave fighting socialsim, and God willing I have quite a few years left.
Steele has pulled back into a tie in MD.
It has ALWAYS been about voter stupidity -- from the start of the country!!!
Some of the founders knew this would be the result. Mob rule. Mindless "gimme what's in your pocket" mob rule.
You must have missed the previous 40yrs before the 1994 GOP takeover. During those years of DIM HOUSE RULE, there were years when the Dims had a veto proof Senate too.
This is bad........but it has been worse! Much worse!
That being said, "I pray for my country." Today the TERRORISTS, and all of our nation's enemies have WON!!
That's why we saw Wesley Clark telling us that Iraq has made the U.S. less secure. He told us that when we see ads telling us to worry about terrorism, it's because of Iraq.
I guess Iraq explains the rash of terrorist attacks we have seen here in the U.S. - how many have there been since March of 2003? I think I've lost count.
