Nobody has a right to complain about their house getting called unless they are on the "do not call list".

Anyone using a marketing machine has to first download that list by law before using the machine.

I heard about this on the ride into work this morning. Tom Davis, Allen & Giuliani have all called me and I’ve got about a metric ton of campaign flyers from the GOP, but not one piece of propaganda from the Dims. I just assumed that the GOP sent stuff to GOP folks, and the Dims sent stuff to the Dims. Are folks who aren't registered getting stuff from both parties?

By the way, the phone calls and flyers don't bother me nearly as much as what goes on at any metro station (in the DC Metro) on Election Day. I’ve had gang initiation gauntlets that were easier to run.

I got a Spanish language GOTV call from the local Donks yesterday, with a live person for a change. I speak fluent Spanish but I told him that I prefer to speak English on my own phone. He apologized, told me that he did not speak enough English to do that, and hung up. (my last name is of Iberian Jewish origin and often shows up on automated searches for "Hispanic surnames")

Our governor has called me twice, as hve Rudy giuliani and Sarah Brady (about a local legislative race. She helped me figure out who NOT to vote for.)

I had a live person call asking for support for George Allen and Joann Davis. I enthusiastically thanked the nice lady and told her they would need a rope and a truck to keep me from voting. I also had a nice conversation with Rudy for thirty seconds (turned out it was a recording).
I mostly hang up when it's a recorded message. I didn't get any from the Dims though I would have talked to them for as long as they could bear to hear me tell them what whiners and losers they are!
