Libertarians are known for having trouble responding to arguments that undermine their fixed and unswerving ideology. Drawing a false connection to Islam is your idea of a cogent argument? Good grief...

Libertarians are just conservatives who are addicted to drugs and can't keep in their pants.

He "was" a Libertarian until he found out a simple law of politics...he couldn't get elected. He then became a Republican and sha-zam...he won an election.

They usually only get elected to non-partisan offices.

Okay. I'll grant you that one. You'd have to pay for a few more vice cops. They're talking about content filtering the internet. "Just a few more vice cops" is a gross oversimplification.

There is not a single libertarian in this country voting for Democrats.

I suggest you not Google "Libertarian" and "Democrat"...I found the results both educational and not surprising. Libertarian is NOT synonymous with conservative.
To: CWOJackson
I didn't say that there aren't people who call themselves 'libertarians' voting for Dems. I personally know some. There are also people who call themselves 'patriotic Americans' voting for Dems. Both groups are liars.

Libertarians are Goldwater Republicans.
Shrink government size, spending and control. The Republicans have done a BAD job of this under Bush.
Keep religion out of politics. Again, the Republicans have done a BAD job of this under Bush.
I admit that the Democrats will do a worse job, but if you wonder why Libertarians are pi$$ed at Republicans....

You got that right. I used to know a Libertarian who ran a crummy little book store. He looks like a 1960s retread. I haven't seen the guy for years, but he both advocated the legalization of weed and seemed to be oft high on the stuff as well. A bunch of dope-smoking Loonytarians would often hang around his book store, making the conversation wafting out of the place even more insane than it ordinarily would be.

Not really. I just read that Libertarain Democrats are also pi$$ed at Democrats. Seems like the only thing consistent about Libertarians is that they're pi$$ed at everyone.

Oops, forgot to don the flame suit. Why should you need a flame suit? If you don't want 'em around and the Pubbies don't need thier votes, then piss 'em off and cut 'em loose. Done.

Libertarian principles are the essential opposite to the polices of the Democrat party. Republican polices often are not.

That's what Libertarians often tell us but a quick search of the web shows there are a lot of "Libertarians" who have a lot in common with the Democrats and call themselves Libertarian Democrats.
When you consider their position on open borders, pedophilia, abortion on demand, legalized drugs, etc., it's very plain they have very much in common with the Democrats.
To: WackySam; Deb
There have been plenty of Libertarians elected to office, just not on the national level.

Or like Ron Paul they pretend to be Republicans. You know who they are by how badly they dress.

God forbid that we have any badly dressed sons of liberty in Congress.
