Exit polls are the MSM's way to try to tamper down GOP voter turnout. And pretending they don't exist by refusing to allow anyone to discuss or dispute them here will ensure that they have their desired effect.

I see your point about freedom of discussion but isn't your reasoning a little circular? Exit polls are going to be discussed elsewhere. We are going to hear the leaks from radio stations and other web sites. Free Republic has never been a place where we were denied the opportunity to discuss what is happening and where it is happening. I think that if we find leaks of exit polling data, then we should be free to discuss it and investigate it in real time. Instead we will simply have to sit on that information until after it has had it's desired effect (which is to discourage lazy republicans from voting).
IOW let the leakers have their day and tomorrow we can discuss how they faired.

If we can discuss what is happening, then at least we will be on top of it. If we ignore what is going on out there, then we will fall victim to it.

Early results show Hughes beating Wilson decisively for the Presidency. Ex-President Theodore Roosevelt has been quoted as saying, "Bully! Bully!"

An election judge in Colorado told me they had 30% early voting. I hate it, but I have to admit that I voted absentee myself since I won't be in my home state today.

OK, One more time!!
How many times are you going to defend the fraudulent exit polls, when they were wrong in 2000, 02, and 04.
Hello!!! Exit polls for the last three election cycles have been wrong!!!

we all know this drill works. if the exits polls are bad news for the GOP, they will leak like cajun levees. if they are good news for republicans, no one will hear about them. ever.

Why in the world do you want or need to discuss something that has proven to be fraudulent and inaccurate in the past? Stick your finger in the wind and get a reading...same thing.

defend fraudulent exit polls...
I have read Marlowe's posts and you have grossly mischaractized his thoughts about exit polls. He is not defending exit polls.
He is defending being permitted to discuss LEAKED exit polls.
He is saying that the media will report the leaks so that THEY can INFLUENCE the election.
He is saying that we should stomp on those who attempt to manipulate voters by calling them on it, and by showing HOW their lying, leaked exit polls are wrong.
If you are going to disagree with someone, at least disagree with what they actually did say, and not some misrepresentation of what they said.
