Raining and low 50's at 6:30am here in Indianapolis. I was the 22nd person to vote (according to the readout on the scanning machine.)
Pulled the lever for the Republicans this morning and feel fantastic about it!!!
Send the Dims a message, vote Republican.

I'm guessing that this means the voter started her ballot on the computer and walked out of the polling place, but didn't press the "vote" button that actually casts the ballot. And, obviously, from the comment, she was at least the second voter to do so. Interesting phenomenon. Wonder how common this is? I'm guessing it's a lot more common among Dems than Republican voters....

Here in State College PA, we're already having serious problems with the new touch screen machines at several precincts. A couple of polling places did not open at the regular 7:00 AM time. Lines are longer than usual in our little town, according to local radio, and some of that seems to have to do with voting machine problems and slow downs.

No "news" here, but a report:
My polling place here in Henrico was doing a relatively brisk business at 7:15 when I arrived. I heard that there were some issues at first getting the electronic voting machines working, but the line was moving and all machines were operating when I was there.
Jim Webb will be chagrined to learn that the African American voters there were not being repressed. They were showing their IDs and not getting arrested, harassed or anything of the sort. Oh well Jim, better luck in some of the NoVA districts.
Chalk up one more vote for out fine conservative candidates: Senator George Allen and Congressman Eric Cantor. And a big, fat YES to making marriage a union betwee one man and one woman in the Virginia constitution.

Voted @ 7:30 AM here in the LowCountry. My precinct had about 2 dozen people voting/waiting. All touch-screen, no waiting - and pouring rain.

We have the touch screens too. I voted right after 7AM, and was number 25 in the R-W line.

CNN just announced that the Dems have won all 435 House seats. LOL - I made a mistake and listened to the top-of-the-hour news on the radio heading into work. They are saying its a foregone conclusion: the Dems have won, the question is by how large a margin...
The more New Media we have the more out of touch and decrepit the Dinosaur Media sounds.

It is refreshing to read posts from other conservative teachers! I know there are many, many conservative teachers out there. Know many who are members of NEA for insurance but vote Republican!

Ford may get a few counties out of the whole state but not by the margins the polls have been indicting.
Shelby will go blue but look for all the neighboring counties to be heavily shaded toward red.
Madison co. and Nashville will be barely purple. Middle and East Tennessee will be all red.
In his latest add he said we will never have to hear him campaign for senate again. Finally he may be telling the truth.

Voted at 7 am in Indiana 9th Congressional district.
I've lived many places and have seen all kinds of ballots, but this was the first time that I had to complete an arrow by drawing a line from the tail to the point.
It's raining here.
I happily voted Republican in every case but one. I voted for the Libertarian candidate for Senator because Lugar was worthless in standing up to Dems during the confirmation hearings.
I also voted No on retaining various judges. I threw them all out.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
If the Dems don't win like they think they are supposed to, they'll be challenging ever precinct in the country to recount stuff and claiming broken equipment, fraud, yada yada yada.

Voted about 7:30 this morning, straight Republican ticket. I felt like one of those people that has that syndrome that you can't leave until you check everything a few hundred times. I must of checked to make sure the lights were lit on the pubbies names about 5 times, before I pushed the vote button....LOL.....
