Senator Santorum is a leader, I can't vote in PA but that is where my money went. I hope and pray that PA conservative will do the right thing.

I wonder if Specter has been deliberately kept off the campaign trail this year -- since his presence might only serve to diminish support from Santorum's conservative base.

Hold tight, Santorum friends. Rick's going to take it!

Bump!

Amen. I remember sending a contribution to his reelection in 1990, when I lived in NJ. I called his DC office the day after election day to offer my congratulations because I was so sick of NJ liberalism.

I daresay that if Santorum's within 5% tomorrow, we'll win a lot of other races that have been looking bad. Having said that, I'll believe it when I see it...

What is so inane about that analysis? I think it happens to be true.

I think James meant trite.

Hopefully conservatives aren't lulled to sleep by past polls.

Win or lose, I despise voters that let a poll, or the news or anything else decide for them whether to vote.

If I lived in Hawaii and the Dem presidential candidate had already won 48 states, I'd still stand in line to vote.

Anyone that says "we're ahead in the polls so I don't need to vote" or "we're gonna lose, so there is no point in my voting" is an idiot and deserves the government they get.

In 2000 when the networks called it for Florida and supposedly Republicans walked away from the polls, if that really occurred, then those kinds of voters are flippin' morons. The media thinks they are stupid, and I find it hard to disagree.

It's less than that, as of today Rick was only behind 4. Rick will win!

he should just skip gov job and run for President

Am I the only one confused by this? "Who" should skip the "gov" job and run for President? Swann? Rendell? Santorum isn't running for Governor.

If Rick does lose, I'd like to see Rummy retire and Santorum become Secretary of Defense.

I'm pretty sure they're her words.

But anyhoo, the *important* thing is that the GOP ground game can put us over the top where needed. I think they can -- probably not everywhere there's a key race, but hopefully in enough places.

Can you imagine the confirmation hearings for that? I hope Rumsfeld holds on for another couple of years.

Like I observed in a previous thread, rain is predicted for Philadelphia and Pittsburgh tomorrow in the afternoon-evening, a lucky break for Santorum. Hopefully the broken-glass Republicans can pull it through for a truly deserving Senator.

Hey, I was saying that myself a little earlier. Santorum will make a great secretary of Defense.

Newt was on Greta tonight saying the GOP turnout will make up for 2 to 7%. Hope he is right. He was talking about how "registered voters" means nothing and how repubs never do well on weekend polls - all things I've learned here on FR.
