US Forces captured a 'known Al Qaeda terrorist' along with five other men, including Saudi and Pakistani nationals, according to a statement released by the Coalition today. The identities of those seized in the Khost City raid have been withheld pending the sensitive nature of the operation
The raid took place at a compound in Khost City. The statement indicated no shots were fired and no one was injured during the operation. Several women and children were present in the compound and a cache of military supplies was uncovered.
The stash included armor piercing ammunition, grenades, AK-47 assault rifles and camera equipment that contained surveillance footage of nearby military installations.
Al Qaeda and Taliban fighters are known to operate and live throughout Khost province which borders Pakistan. Fighters from neighboring Pakistan are also known to easily pass through the border area into Afghanistan on a daily basis due to the rugged terrain and well established smuggling routes.
Counter-terrorism operations launched by US forces targeting al Qaeda compounds in Nangahar and Khost provinces has been stepped up since August, netting and killing dozens of suspected al Qaeda militants.
Taking bets on how long until it gets pulled or I get banned.

Actually, the reason I made that screen name over there was to see how often I could post without one of their lurkers over here finding out. I figured I'd get caught in a day, but they proved how stupid they really are and I've been registered about a year now.
It's really fun to spy, but I can't go there often. There anti-Americanism really gets my blood boiling.

What would REALLY be hilarious if it were Bin Laden and the military let it out on Tuesday would be the Dems trying to sue the Republicans for election fraud over it.
One of the great movie trailers of all time, if we're thinking of the same one. Instead of the standard fare of a series of clips from the movie it was one extended scene from Scanners that grew in intensity until the infamous head explosion. Relative to most generic film trailers of the era, it was a total shocker.
