Oh, I would puke if I heard that voice on MY phone.
I saw that commercial as I turned on to watch Brit Hume..Clark has sunk to a new low...Shame on those vets, too.
Rovesputin strikes again! Look into his eyes. He knows all. He tells all. He's gonna kick some dem. a** tomorrow...
One reason I still have dial up!!
Way too much typing..all you had to type was
Projectionism
So am I the only one with both Clint Eastwood and Rudy Guiliani on my answering machine? At least they are kind enough to leave a message and not keep calling like a certain EX-president. About a week ago I came home to a bunch of hang up UNKNOWN CALLERs on my caller-id. Phone rings and sure enough it's the UNKNOWN CALLER again - none other than clinTOON. Shouldn't he have to identify his phone number? At least Clint and Rudy did - 123-456-7890! What did they pay for that?
I don't think those commercials will change anybody's mind. Those that believe that tripe are already voting Dem. Anyone else I think would see that commercial and find it ridiculous.
BUMP!
And if we refuse to cease and desist, what will happen? Is Kerry threatening to throw a shoe?
They aren't interested in going to court because they have no case and they know it. This is all about media coverage; getting negative coverage of Republicans that is. So, at first glance, it appears the Republicans have broken the law even though that is a lie.
I actually got a warm body call me yesterday for Eddie..My initial was t ohang up, but wits kicked in and figured if I could keep the young lass on the line, that would be fewer calls she could make. I let her ramble; took her a while (on my speaker phone) to pick up on the "uh-huh", "really?", "KDKA didn't say that", I don't usually vote, why should I now?", "facinating" <--that's the one that did it BTW..
So Harold Ford's campaign is in on this tactic too, I see.
And we've seen photos of your car! lol
Here in Memphis, we have actually already had one confirmed dead person voting. A man had died and his wife said that she just decided to go ahead and vote for him. True story.
Fourteen others voting twice. So far!!!
My answering machine featured the First Lady asking for votes for "Governor Sanford, Lt. Gov. Bauer and the whole Republican team" here in SC and then John McCain asking for a "Yes" vote on the marriage amendment.
i would like to see all political telephone soliciting covered by the national no-call list, but maybe some people like recorded messages dialing them up.
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Maybe the RNC should do likewise to the Reverend Jesse Jackson, the DNC and ASFCME?
I'm a life-long Marylander and Republican, who lives in PG County and works for DoD.
My answering machine has been innundated with computer generated, automated calls from the good Reverend imploring me to vote for Cardin and O'Malley.
The calls have been good for a laugh.
Jack.
"I personally hate automated phone calls. I call for a cease-fire on both sides and we will all be happy."
I am not overly pleased with calls either, but can easily put up with it during election time push. I have seen posts on FR saying that some were thinking of not voting if they get another call. I certainly would not give up voting just because I received several "reminder to vote" calls. We all talk about wanting to keep the DEMS from power, so the least we can do is put up with the callers who help the campaigns, and make sure we vote! We need to do the right thing for our country and vote Republican! :)
All we've had so far is one call from Pat Boone and two from Joe Piscopo - people out west are getting calls from Gudy G. and Rush Limbaugh - Jersey sucks, in so many ways.....
