An EXCERPT :**********************************
"I think we're seeing a carryover from Friday's economic news," said Michael Metz, chief investment strategist at Oppenheimer & Co., referring to a largely positive October employment report. "The feeling is that it is more and more unlikely that we have a recession."
Bolstering this view, Michael Moskow, the president of the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank said the U.S. economy should bounce back from the weak third quarter and average "somewhat below" a 3% real GDP growth rate over the next year.

Looks like a boost from the latest GOP poll numbers if we can keep the cemetery gates locked, the illegals votes thrown out, ditto the double/triple voters, the nation will be shocked at how many fewer DimRat voters (legal) there really are. (After all, they've been aborting their progeny for decades. It may be coming back to haunt them.)

Thank heavens that the rise is being attributed to a couple of rich guys buying restaurants that rich people go to. That's the kind of fundamental economic activity that directly affects Mr. and Mrs. America's pocketbook.

Yes but lot of Mr and Mrs America work at these hotels and if the evil rich Republicans did not go and eat $200 dinners a lot of these $12-$20/hr workers would not have jobs. Supply side economics works especially where the evil rich spend their money.

The markets tend to "know" election outcomes, that is not to say that they always prefer one party over another, but it's pretty clear that they are happy with GOP control. Higher taxes mean LESS MONEY available to be invested in the markets and LESS MONEY for people to spend on consumer items (which will be reflected in lower corporate profits).

P.S.: don't tell anybody that oil is up a buck-fifty today. That's apparently a big secret.

Some Dem will claim it's Wall Street optimism over the prospect of a Dem congressional victory.

A Look Inside That Pew Poll
******************AN EXCERPT ****************************
The closing statement
***************************
The theme of this poll is the attack on Democratic gains in this election cycle. The GOP has rolled back the Democratic intrusion onto Republican demographics, which leaves the field looking similar to 2004 and 2002. This race may hold some very unpleasant surprises for the Democrats in the House races if these numbers hold up or continue to erode over the next 40 hours.

Win or lose, sKerry is getting blamed (if they win, they will say that without sKerry's comments it would have been bigger). Hitlery's agenda is all about removed rival 'Rats, she could care less about the outcome of this election.

Dow is up 130 now heading into the final 40 minutes. No real movement or a rise tomorrow will be a clear sign of GOP victory.
