IIRC, Pew showed a slight Webb lead, Mason Dixon showed it tied, it was Survey USA that showed a big Webb Lead.

Now this is Gallup showing Allen ahead.

Pollsters are finally starting to realize that 703 isn't the only area code in Virginia.

LOL!!! I thought 757 was the only area code (thankfully one unknown to pollsters, it seems)

Advantage incumbent, regardless of what the polls say in this race, IMHO.

Chris Matthews is soiling his shorts.

Given the "fiction" that Webb has written in the past,I suspect that he might enjoy seeing that up close and personal.

The pollsters are finally coming out with the real polls after months of being Democrat stooges.

If they are too far off at election time, they lose credibility, but if they sneak one or two real polls in at the last minute, they can try to save face.

Hubby and I were just discussing the exit poll fiasco during the 2004 Pres election. The fake exit polls were saying Va was going dem 4-1, oor course it was not, Va doesn't do such things. I've always thought the Allen/Webb thing was off. Wish Allen had a better campaign but he had to spend so much time running against the Post. Does anyone remember what happened with those exit polls? I would expect it to happen again? Were they just skewed because dems took them? I can't remember.

I think this is why polls are not trusted. I don't trust any one them, even the ones that say what I want to hear. But I do look at trends and changes.

Looks like rain up here in Moran (moron) country. That's good. It should screw up the traffic so badly that the dark side will have more trouble getting to the polls.

I heard that exit polling was not going to take place this election. Don't remember where I heard that and if all media was following it. Does anyone else remember?

There was a concerted effort by the RATS and the MSM in 2004 to suppress voter turnout in Virginia. In reality Kerry bailed out of Virginia in October.

But the RATS, along with Larry Sabotage were predicting a Kerry win in Virginia. And they were giving us that exit poll crap up until well after 7 p.m.

IIRC none of the networks called Virginia for Bush until well after 9:00 p.m.

Bush carried the state by almost 9 pts.

Whether we hold the House and Senate is important but with the proper management of PR by the White House during these last 2 years, it should have been a walk away for conservatives. The trouble is now, that conservatives will not have a majority in either house after this election regardless of whether the republicans hold on or not.

IIRC Fox pulled their coverage with VA in 2004 because it didn't make sense. And waited for some real numbers to start coming in.
