11th Hour Boost for Michigan GOP
bttt
I'm gonna do my part.
Yes, but don't underestimate the Dems and their "get out the dead vote" strategy.
More encouragement. I suspected Mitchell Research was a GOP firm, but have not been able to find any such reference. It appears to be an independent Michigan-focused firm. Yes??
I'm doing my part as well, but it looks like my district will only be 1 for 3. Rogers is a shoe-in to return to the House.
Crack that whip!
Coop I don't know, maybe someone else does.
Thanks, Any recommendations on Judges ?
Beat me to it! Good one!
Pollsters often do work solely for Dem parties/candidates or Pubbie parties/candidates. Their polls tend to reflect good news for their clients, and so need to be taken with a grain of salt. Other firms tend to only do media polls and tend to be more "down the middle."
I saw this yesterday. Bouchard and Devos are surging. This is a wonderful turn around. The conservatives and independents are coming home. The stakes are high and the day will be won at the polls not on CNN. If they do not take the House or Senate, which I think they will not, it is an indicator where their strategy failed. If I am not mistaken, a majority of conservatives and independents also favor fox news and talk radio. This is where the Democrats don't compete well. This is also where the Kerry gaff ran like one big anti-Democrat campaign ad.
Someone will be along shortly to edyoomakate us. :-)
Hopefully it is enough to close the Gap. For the health of the state, saying goodbye Jenny is a must, saying hello Sen. Bouchard would be icing on the cake.
I hope there is a story under the surface that the GOP can use from what I hope are 2 victories.
They've done work for Detroit Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick, Congressman John Dingell (D-MI), the RNC, and many other organizations. I don't see that they are tied to either party, but I don't know who they are working for here.
EPIC-MRA doesn't seem to have bothered to do a poll since, oh, hmm, the day *before* the Democrat Hara-Kerry self-butchery.
Mitchell Research in 2004 picked Kerry in Michigan in its last pre-election poll and I believe it was by more than the 3 percent margin he won the state with. So I think they have a good track record.
Im pulling for you DeVos and Bouchard!
I've been doing a bit of Googling. I hope I'm not wrong, but my votes will be decided by who endorses the specific candidate. So far, my choices are:
Voting for:
Maura Corrigan (Incumbent) - Endorsed by Michigan Right to Life
Kerry Morgan - Endorsed by Citizens for Traditional Values (Who seem to be endorsing a straight "R" ticket.)
Not voting for:
Beckering or Cavanagh - Both are endorsed by the MEA.
