For example, I've registered to help Rick Santorum of PA. (He needs it!) His site provides me with a script and a name & number to call. After each call, I update the database with the result of my call ("spoke to voter," "no answer," etc.) and the site gives me the next name and number. It's fun! Their "take it to the streets" usually turns into "I have to go to the dentist, could you youtube the revolution so I can watch it later?".

But if there are any protesters blocking a road I want to get down, they'd better move.

Your right, polls are trying to use 1900 technology to find todays voters. Even if they weren't cooking the books, they could never accurately poll. Look for a Red Tide on Tuesday.
