Agreed. The wheel is still turning, but the hamster is dead.

what are the state laws regarding recounts here in MO?I don't know, but I fear you are right that McCaskill will sue so I am encouraging everyone I know to make it as big a win for Talent as we possibly can. I don't want us to start looking like Venezuela. Have you seen the latest evil stem cell commercial. "Who is Jim Talent? Is he a doctor? Is he a scientist? Why does he get to say who lives or dies?" It's just foul.

I suspect their egos think we're hanging on their every word. I also suspect that Tim, Chris, and Steffy won't invite any real Pubbies on their - don't want their points to get out and stick it to the Dims.

It happens to us all, I got bumped as a morning drive solo anchor slot years ago when the station was sold, got rid of the old format, and all sponsors, went country music and canceled my show that had been on the air for 45 years.
Shortly thereafter I discovered FR, fair trade for me.

Heard Halperin on Huge Huge-it earlier this week. ("Huge Huge" meaning Hugh Hewitt.) Huge Huge is all Hallal-aspirin (Halperin) would like to really be. Huge Huge is a genuinie
correspondent of the day's events. But Halperin has little respect for the opinion, the well-formed opinions of others. That's why Halperin insists that no news correspondent should vote in the elections the correspondent covers. To do so would be to be not be
objective.
Hallal-aspirn deludes himself as to "objectivity". The pursuit of the idol of "no opinion" on great matters induces abjectivity in those who so pursue such hollow grails. Abject despair of ever rising above victim-hood, that is.
The Old Media is exmeplified by jakes like Mark Halperin, who find their most willing audience and echo-chamberosity in those whose life's wisdom is that the best we all and ever can be is a victim of life.

I just wish that some of the GOP candidates would have countered the DEM stump talking point..about how Bush and the GOP are trying to "scare" people into voting for the GOP...
By saying that if President Bush had campaigned on the threat of Osama Bin Ladin in 2000, they would have been saying the same thing....but, they DID blame him after the fact.
President Bush has explained many times that HE is looking to the way off future, not only for the changes he is working towards to be at optimum peace...BUT, he doesn't want Americans (DEMS) to look back in 10-15 years and ask WHY didn't the Bush Administration do more to keep the Middle East from being a nuclear, Islamic Caliphate???

It's just foul.Yes, that was awful, I actually didnt see it. But it comes with a silver lining-a freind of ours saw it and was so repulsed that she is exhorting everyone she knows to vote for Jim. She is quite a-political. I will blame the democrats and the media if I fail any of my midterms..!

FNC is showing Brian Wilson's travel with Laura now
To: A Citizen Reporter
Not surprised. Chris Wallace is a lightweight compared to Tony Snow on FNS. I love Hannity, but not H&C. I tuned O'Reilly off one day and found that I didn't miss him-so unless I'm just flipping through the stations, I don't stop at his show at 8pm.
I like that they still feature Republicans that may not be household names, but the way they harp on the celeb scandals just drives me insane. I could care less about Laci, Tom and Katie, Natalie, AnnaNicole and all the other things that are supposedly "newsworthy". They look more like the "old media" every day. So what's the difference if we watch their station or another?
I was impressed that they had the courage to play clips from Obsession - which makes me realize they aren't CNN, but a lot of the time they look more like CNN than the Fox I used to know....has Fox "jumped the shark"?

They didn't have any problems with Clinton's spying programs!!!
They also didn't have any problem with the war in Kosovo...and THAT country was NOT a threat at all to the USA!
Why do we never hear the GOP making THAT point?

For example, as a fair and objective journalist, Brit felt today he had to give Kerry some benefit of the doubt. The more I think about it, the more I conclude that there is no benefit of the doubt to be given. Even if (and it's a big "if" since it took Kerry's people two days to come up with the explanation) it's true that the joke should have read "get us stuck in Iraq," the only reason that would be a punch line (however) weak, is that it would still depend on the Vietnam draft meme of "study, or you'll be drafted" for its "punch" instead of stating it directly, as Kerry indubitably did. In either case, it's in there.

Absolutely.
Our socialist Labour Party always decried means testing saying it demeaned people etc etc but since 1997 when they came into power we have never seen as much means testing as there is today in Britain.
They shout and scream about it but in reality it is part and parcel of their makeup that and increasing taxes directly and indirectly.

Rob, don't forget in the House, the Dems start the night down 1---because William Jefferson, D-LA, cannot win a majority and will definitly face a run-off.
Yeah, but it may likely be with another Democrat, perhaps State Rep. Karen Carter. The Republican, Joe Lavigne, is not considered a strong contender to make a place in the runoff, and the district is too Democrat for him to win anyway.

That is why I will open doors early it will probably mean not all photos are available by then but I will post them during the evening as they become available including some favourites from the past.
I intend to look for some previous election photos if I get time and will post those as well. I know I have a few already including some of the primaries so as long as life does not intervene too much hopefully there will be a fair few photos to lighten the spirits.

I admit feeling despair and anger this morning. Chrissy being amazed that the non-East Coast folks don't hate W... or something like that. The Panel was so depressing, especially Brit; it undid any hope I felt after Mass. The high point was wonderful Tony Snow spanking Campbell Brown on Iraq.

Good point!
And smart pubs know they're going to the enemy camp when invited to appear.
