The Rats throw out these buzzwords like "redeploy" and "special ops" to make it sound like they knnow what they're talking about.

My sister, who is a Liberal , said we should "contain" Iran by surrounding it militarily. She was taken aback when I pointed out that we already have troops posted in areas around much of Iran.

Maybe Bush actually was implementing a good plan in regard to Iran when he sent troops to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Yes, I remember that well. It was reports by Michael Barrone that showed the exit polls were wrong. After listening to Barrone's well reasoned and hard-hitting facts, they all lightened up, while Juan and Susan Ostrich became more and more subdued. A wonderful turn around.

PS I never for one minute thought Kerry would win. I was surprised by the Fox panel's reaction (and Sean Hannity's, on radio earlier) but felt the turnaround WOULD happen. I think the same thing is going to happen on Tuesday!!!

Great post RG and exactly right. One of the 'problems' that Pubbies have is that they, for the most part, act in the old tradition of gentle women and gentlemen. While that's something I admire, they need to quit being so nice all the time and start being street fighters like the Dims. They don't need to get down and dirty and nasty about it like the Dims do, but, as you said, they need to start pointing out the differences between the parties and call the Dims liars when they are (which is most of the time). This would also help define the differences for the American people - how many times have you heard someone say there's no differences between the Democrats and Republicans. We know there are vast differences, but Joe Six-Pack doesn't always.

If Britt goes you can be sure they will already have someone in mind to take his place. Problem is if it's a Chris Wallace type,they will be in trouble. FNC needs to recall who brought them to the ball and it wasn't the same audience as CNN.

Ref Mathews and Andrew Sullivan's idiotic comments. I knew when I was in Broward County and Wexler was the Representative for my district that Mark Foley was Gay. He has a very nice, decent Family,and he kept his nose clean and nobody cared. I have been in Mark Foley's District CD16 for 7 years, and almost to a man/woman Mark was loved by his constituents regardless of his Homosexuality. We are a conservative community but do not pry into someone's love life either Foley,or Madonna,we do not care as long as you leave Children alone. Mark was a great constituent Congressman and everybody here has lots of Mark Foley good deeds when we needed help in any way,and I was overjoyed to get away from Wexler to Mark Foley. Andrew Sullivan is a nutcase that used to be very conservative,and a great writer. That is past tense, since all he ever talks about is homosexual issues. He can turn any topic into a point about The Gay Agenda, I do not care what the topic is, he will turn it into his talking points for Gay Marriage etc. It all started with the Marriage between 1 woman and 1 man pushed by he Republicans and the President. He went off the deep end and continues his descent into insanity. Who knows it might be all the meds he takes for his Aids,or since he is living under a death sentence, he might just be frantic to mate up before he passes on.

I think so too. The '04 election map broken down by counties is overwhelmingly red. I find it hard to believe that the tide could turn so drastically in two years. There will be no blue wave.
