The cookies sound delicous. I only have chocolate chip without the oatmeal. I'll have to stick with the sweet tea even though I'd love a cold glass of milk. Ever since my tummy surgery in June, I have a problem with milk. Hopefully that will go away soon.
Have you tried soy milk? I never thought I'd see the day that I'd try something like that, but I really liked it. My son and daughter-in-love got me started on it. It's suppose to help with cholesterol...but I'm not sure if your tummy could take it.
I used to drink glasses of chocolate soy milk due to lactose intolerance. I think the taste is fine, especially if you are used to drinking fat free milk, as soy milk is a little thin.
I realized that 8+ ozs at a time isn't very good for my diabetes, but I still use a bit of low fat plain in my (low carb) cereal and oatmeal. I think if you get the plain (no flavors), you'll be fine. If you'd like to experiment more, try rice or almond milk. Very good.
