Dick Morris and David Bossie Unveil New “Wiretap” Ad: Dem Weakness in Fighting Terrorism
CItizens United ^ | Oct. 30, 2006 | Stephen Manfredi

Citizens United, a prominent Washington-based conservative grassroots advocacy organization and its affiliated Political Victory Fund are unveiling a major campaign advertisement targeting Democrats for their staunch opposition to the NSA Wiretap program which authorizes the interception of international communications of people with known links to terrorist groups.

The ad, which was produced by political strategist Dick Morris and Citizens United president David Bossie, premiered on FOX News Channel’s Hannity & Colmes and will be seen nationwide on FOX News Channel in the days before the November 7 th mid-term elections.

“A Democratic Congress would jeopardize our national security and reverse real progress in the Republican War on Terror. The Democrats are more interested in protecting the rights of terrorists than American families,” said David Bossie.

The ad features a dramatized conversation between two terrorists planning a lethal terrorist attack. The conversation is disconnected by Democrats. The script reads:

“This terrorist wiretap has been disconnected by a Democratic controlled Congress. “

“If the Democrats win, the NSA won’t be able to listen as terrorists plot to attack.”

“This year, vote like your life depends on it. Because it does.”

Yep! You start it with President Bush and that announcement that went something like, "United States and Iraqi forces have killed the terrorist, Zar-what's his face."

Then cut to Harry Reid, "We killed the Patriot Act"

While the Republicans are standing on principals the democrats are setting there eating our lunch. They have given us so many killer sound bites but yet they aren't used and I would like to know why.

I don't like shep at all. He is from Baton Rouge I think. I went through Katrina and wanted to strangle him due to his nancy-boy hysterics during his coverage in New Orleans.

I live in Mississippi and know all about how liberals "think" things are down here. We just laugh at their ignorance.

Are we supposed to believe that this former Clinton advisor is now a Republican, or what?

Morris worked almost exclusively for Republicans before he was seduced into working for Clinton. Of course I have no knowledge as to his party registration but if I had to guess, I'd wager that he thinks of himself as a Republican or Republican-leaning independent.

Can Alan Colmes get any more self-righteous and priggish?

In a word, no. Colmes is a damn disgrace and a sad excuse for a man. His demeanor is feminine. His feelings based arguments are predictable and pure sophistry. Not only that, he always steps on the conservatives initial response before they have a chance to finish what they are saying

He strikes me as the most fortunate person on TV, no discernible talents. He basically serves as a foil for Sean. He is the "balance" in "Fair and Balanced", I suppose. For every smart employee Fox feels the need to have one dumbazz.

Since I'm raggin' on him I'd also like to take this opportunity to point out he is one freaky looking dude even for a DemocRAT. Damn Skeletor.

Gosh...I did NOT know that he worked for a Republican before the Clintons.

I guess that makes him a political advisor...wherever he can get a job...

He calls himself a liberal, but I think he's just a democrat.
