What do you expect from Vermont? It's worse than Massachusetts, and that's saying something.

As Vermont goes, so goes the Northeast. Think of Vermont as a "leading political indicator" for that unhappy region.

Vermont is about as far Left as it gets. Even MA seems almost conservative in comparison.

Oh I know. I lived in New England for years. Moving from New England to South Central Pa was like moving from North Korea to South Korea (Ricko will get a big chunk of his votes from my area this Tuesday). Philly suburbs may doom him though. No surprise; a lot of people from South Jersey have moved in over the years. Someone who moves from, say, Camden NJ, to Chester, PA won't be voting GOP, odds are.

It's the demographics. When you have a state made up mostly of granola munchers, dairy farmers and dippy, spoiled college students, you tend to have a low crime rate, thus not much of call for "gun control." Of course, my idea of gun control is to hold the thing steady.

If you compare the number of government programs and regulations with, say, fifty years ago, there can be no doubt that Bernie Sanders accurately reflects decades of sentiment of the U.S. Senate. :-(

Calvin Coolidge, the state's most famous son, probably is spinning so fast in his grave he could power a turbine.

Well, I will be voting for Tarrant. However, us good guys are out numbered about 2:1 from what I can see. This state is a playground for the Boston/New York/Connecticut shick and absent massive conservative / libertarian influx (no housing available if you decide to come here) this state will not change. The laws are set up to maintain the status quo.

It's sad; I spent 5 wonderful summers at summer camp in Vermont, on Lake Fairlee. It's a beautiful place and I love the area. But it's so completely pinko that I couldn't go back there.
BTW, isn't Sanders officially an "Independent"? What color will they put on the map if he wins? Or will they just adorn it with a hammer and sickle?

Good question. :)
You're right-Vermont is a beautiful state. I was there recently, and the foliage was lovely.
