Let me know when Nihad Awad of CAIR, who has also had "talks" with the WH, steps down for supporting terrorist organizations.

DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO DISCOURAGE THE EVANGELICAL VOTE. DONT THINK ALL THESE ACCUSATIONS OCCURING SO CLOSE TO NOVEMBER 7TH ARE COINCEDENTAL.

REMEMBER WHAT IS AT STAKE. HAGGARD NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE.
ITS HIS OWN AND HIS CHURCHES AFFAIR. GOD BLESS HIM AND PRAY FOR ALL....REMEMBER VOTE HE IS NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE.

It must be election time. Sleazy accusations from an admittedly ultra-sleazy source, a last-minute accusation by an alleged but admitted male "escort" or prostitute. This has been unquestionably the sleaziest campaign conducted by the Demonrat Party in its sorry recent history.

As a Roman Catholic, I would plead that this not be made an occasion of religious strife, that everyone here of all faiths remember that the Reverend Mr. Haggard is entitled to every benefit of every doubt publicly and privately, that the nature of the source be considered, that our prayers be with and for the Rev. Mr. Haggard and his family and his Church and that God's will in His love for the Rev. Mr. Haggard be done.

I have pinged a few Catholics and a few Reformed Christians to summon our respective co-religionists in defense here of the Rev. Mr. Haggard.

Who???

Does the guy hold or is he running for political office?

Then why does the media care? We're in the last 4 days of an election cycle. Let's focus on the campaigns, contests, candidates and issues.

In addition to Amendment 43, the marriage amendment, there's also a domestic partnership initiative on the CO ballot, Referendum i. Some Denver media people are spinning this story as a blow against the marriage amendment and in favor of ref. i.

I don't know if this cheerfulness is anything other than wishful thinking on their part, but I'm no Evangelical. As a Catholic, Haggard's advocacy has flown under my radar.

In the sad event that these allegations prove true, here's something to keep in mind:

"The teachers of the law (the scribes) and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So, you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach" (Matt. 23:2-3)

Is Haggard the driving force behind his church? I'll keep him, his accuser, and his congregation in my prayers.

Perhaps there will be apologies forthcoming from those Protestants who mock and belittle the Catholic Church for the sins of a tiny percentage of its clergy?

Somewhat relevant news: one Colorado lefty has said:
Churches need to be careful this year. I am not personally participating (although I agree with the stance behind it), but there are groups that are planning on infiltrating Church services and recording any unethihcal speech that may put in danger the organization's tax exempt status.
He was talking about the marriage amendment advocacy. I wouldn't be too surprised if busybodies like these would try to create a hoax story.

This sounds like a setup, just like the Foley deal. I wouldn't be surprised if Soros wasn't behind it. Get some prominent conservatives on the hook by taking advantage of a moment of personal weakness, and spring the surprise just before the election.

Well he resigned from his office.

He might go to jail for buying drugs.

What else do you wanna do? Flog him?

Will the accuser be prosecuted for soliciting prostitution or selling drugs?

I don't know who Haggard is, and the NAE has turned to the left recently. I do have compelling evidence.

In any case, the turn to homosexuality has been denied. Therefore, the guy deserves the benefit of the doubt. His action of resigning until this is sorted out is probably the right answer unless it encourages false accusations that simply seek to injure ministers and ministries.

Recognizing the vulnerability of elders, the bible says that no charge against an elder should be entertained except when there are TWO witnesses.

As I read the article this morning, the news headline is very misleading.
He did step down, and it was over sex accusations; however, as part of normal operations of his church, an investigation is looking into the matter - and hopes that they can clear the matter up so he can resume his duties depending on the outcome of the investigation.

Ted Haggard, who denied the accusation...

He should not have stepped down if the accusations were not true. He just made them look true.

And you'll note that this is a PROTESTANT minister at a "BIBLE" "church" - albeit a shrine to the almighty dollar and the ego of the "pastor."

PROTESTANT

PROTESTANT

PROTESTANT

Such an accurate summation of the CULT of these "Bible" "churches.."
