University of Pennsylvania president Amy Gutmann threw her annual Halloween costume party at her home Tuesday night. Among the guests was Saad Saadi, who came dressed as a suicide bomber, complete with plastic dynamite strapped to his chest and a toy automatic rifle. Worse, Gutmann posed with Saadi!
An obvious question: would Gutmann have posed with a guest--or even allowed him into her house--if he'd dressed as Adolf Hitler or a Nazi SS officer? A KKK member?
But in modern liberal circles, posing as a Palestinian suicide bomber (see his kefiya) is just fine. After all, he mainly tries to kill innocent Jews.

Jihad chic at the University of Penn.
Winfield Myers has a bombshell at Democracy Project. Here is how they celebrated Halloween at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania:

The woman on the right is the president of the university, Amy Gutmann. Sick, sick, sick.
Writes Myers:
The email address for the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania is ofcsec@pobox.upenn.edu if you'd care to drop them a line.
Please do.

Myers identifies the costumed suicide bomber as Saad Saadi. I found his website here. He's got a page on his travels in Syria.
Here's one of his crude, anti-Bush videos.
Here's a video of his "Arabic class final project."

What Amy Gutmann doesn't realize is that Saad's "joke" is on her.

Yes to all of the above. No if the partygoer was dressed as President Bush.

Actually, I think a better tactic than expressing outrage would be to express gratitude that political correctness is on the wane and that truly scary costumes are now permitted at Penn Halloween parties, and tell President Gutman that we're looking forward to seeing her posing with faux Hitlers, ersatz SS, and students dressed as aborted foetuses next year.

Incidentally, I get dibs on the tactics on this one. I'm a Penn alum. (Grad A&S '84, Ph.D. in Math). Remember folks, sarcasm, biting sarcasm, not outrage.

A well known Maine attorney dressed as bin Laden (costume he purchased over the net in England), stood by an over pass waving a toy assault weapon and had fake grenades in his ammo belt. His claim to fame was his announcement of the alleged Bush DUI before the election. The phrase 'Bush, the alcoholic' was then born.
Passersby called Portland police to report a man dressed as a terrorist standing by the highway waving a sign and an assault weapon. Those reporting the incident thought the sign said "I love the Taliban", but upon closer scrutiny was a TABOR sign as he is Anti-Tabor. Police bore down with weapons drawn. He commented he was surprised as it was Halloween and people do dress up in costumes (and stand by state highways waving a weapon, toy or not, inciting fear). He was released on $500 fine.
