Was that bus driver a Sunni or a Shia? Just kidding. But with incivility like that, we're not far from becoming like Baghdad. String her up, I say (sarcasm).

The good news is that she's now eligible for a job as "the fourth Dixie Chick".

Two statements contradict themselves. One said the President is the only one who saw it. Another said that when the congressman called to complain about it, they already knew about it. Which is it?

Hey king of the Issaquah! Have you seen this???

"Reichert campaign officials confirm that Bush told Reichert about the gesture and that the congressman later called Issaquah's superintendent to let her know about the incident. "

While I think the bus driver's one-finger salute was disgusting and disrespectful, she should not have been fired over it.
As a few other posters have said, I might've been tempted to do the same had I seen BJC under the same circumstances.

"This was part of a pattern of behavior with this particular bus driver, not an isolated incident." A very telling statement. Sounds like this person is trying to milk the liberal hatred of Bush to try to save her sorry a$$.

She was representing a company at the time and there's rules. If she was in her private vehicle then I could agree with you.

Oops. You beat me to it. In the story I posted, it says she was fired for shooting "the finger" in front of school children. Now, that makes sense.

She's a dumb lib but she would be even dumber if she shot her finger.

I also didn't catch the part about her "pattern of behavior". That's what I get for failing that Evelyn Woods course, I guess.

There is nothing contradictory about the statements. From the article:
Reichert campaign officials confirm that Bush told Reichert about the gesture and that the congressman later called Issaquah's superintendent to let her know about the incident.

And if you had done the same thing: flippin the bird while driving your employers vehicle, while being on the clock, and in front of your bus riders, you too should be fired.

This story is an anti-Bush hit job by that stupid newspaper, designed to make Bush look thin skinned. The story smells funny...
