LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - A jury Wednesday found an Ethiopian immigrant guilty of the genital mutilation of his 2-year-old daughter in what was believed to be the first criminal case in the United States involving the ancient African tradition.
Khalid Adem, 30, was convicted of aggravated battery and cruelty to children. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Adem used scissors to remove his daughter’s clitoris in his family’s Atlanta-area apartment in 2001. The child’s mother, Fortunate Adem, said she did not discover it until more than a year later.

This is good. States like Georgia can start building up a base of law that will eventually fly smack into Sharia law. You see the demonstrators in Great Britain recently? Hooded women carrying signs that read "Sharia Law is the only way". In hooded gowns no less!
You are correct except it's been adopted by almost all N. African muslems. This practice is encouraged buy mussie leaders through out the ME. Im not certain if it is practiced in Iran or Pakistan.

This barbaric practice is done not just in Africa, but throughout the Muslim world! (Granted some Anamists in Africa have followed the practice, too)
Now, it IS true that it isn't too popular outside of Africa, but it is just NOT true that it is solely an African tradition unconneted with the barbarism that is Islam.
This is just one more barbarity that Islam forces on the world. Just one more example of Islam's hatred for women.

I find that impossible to believe.
That scumbag Khalid Adem will hopefully get some genital mutilation/removal of his own, once word gets around about what he's in prison for, and he's probably not bright enough to request protective custody (i.e. solitary) to avoid any (ahem) "unpleasant confrontations".
All the better. I'll wait for the pay-per-view.

I was watching TV with the sound off because I was on the phone, but, as usual, there appeared to be a fainting scene in the courtroom by his some "female", I assume his wife. Then they interviewed her outside the courthouse -- she looked like somebody who needed a 2-by-4 upside the head.
That's just what I was thinking. Pretty suspicious!

Seriously, this case has been difficult to watch on the news. All I needed last night was to hear some caterwauling by a defense lawyer and I think I'd have shot my own TV!!
