VETERANS RALLY AGAINST CASEY, KERRY

Philadelphia - Veterans rallied at a press conference tonight demanding that Casey denounce John Kerry's insulting comments about our troops in Iraq. Earlier this week, Kerry suggested American troops wouldn't be "stuck in Iraq" if they had done their "homework" and made "an effort to be smart" in school. The press conference was held steps away from the location where Casey intended to hold a fundraiser with Kerry before Kerry cancelled in the wake of his disparaging comments.

Senator Santorum has called on Kerry to apologize for his remarks: "Senator Kerry owes an apology to every man and woman serving this country in Iraq, and to the families of the more than 2,800 American patriots who have given their lives in service to this nation. . . . We are indebted to the service and sacrifice of those who wear the uniform, and John Kerry's demeaning comments are despicable." Casey, on the other hand, ignored John Kerry's well-documented history of attacking our troops and defended Kerry, calling his remarks a botched "joke." Instead of demanding that Kerry apologize for his disgraceful insult of our men and women in uniform, Casey used the opportunity to attack the President, the Vice President and Senator Santorum.

Iraq war veteran Sgt. Michael Sarro (Ret.) was a featured guest at tonight's press conference. Sarro served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years, and in 2004 joined the Pennsylvania National Guard, volunteering for deployment to Iraq. Sarro was on a routine patrol just outside Tikrit when two anti-tank mines were remote-detonated under his Humvee. A firefight ensued and Sarro was shot with an AK-47 in the leg, resulting in the need for extensive surgery and rehabilitation.

Sarro has been vocal about the need for resolve in this war, and has said, "Though the enemy may have taken my ability to walk for a period of time, I will not accept defeat." Unfortunately for Pennsylvania taxpayers, Casey fails to exhibit this same sort of resolve. Failing to show up for work while taxpayers' pension dollars are being invested in companies doing business with terrorist-sponsoring states is an insult to everyone serving this country in the effort to defeat terrorism.

Marine Corps officer James H. Warner, who spent five years and five months in a prisoner of war camp in North Vietnam, attended the press conference, as did Richard and Nancy Schmidt, parents of Richard J. Schmidt Jr., currently serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Santorum is one of the best. It's sick that a fine man like him is struggling to get reelected and really doesn't reflect well on that state.

What the US Army recruiting poster under "President" Kerry would look like:

Our brave warriors n Irak respond to Jon Carry"

Kerry is no different re his hatred of a strong America and our warriors than 99.9% of the rats in congress. Every rat running for election should have to face a copy of this banner everytime they show their treasonous faces. Pelosi, Murtha, Clintoon, Boxer, Kennedy, Durbin, Levin, Rangle, Reid and other rats in congress hate our military and a strong America. Just look at their voting records the past two years as President Bush pointed out this week.

Kerry is shown leading his fellow hate America and our military Rats to their final destination in American Politics:

Vote against all traitors this election day. Support our troops and their CIC, President Bush.
