When they find the little SOB, put him where he can do the most good for his country-as a target on a firing range.

A day AFTER he surrendered? Don't they keep tabs on these people?

So this little coward joined the Army for what reason?
My son is there now why not him as well?
I bet he'll be the poster child for the dems.

What do you reckon the chances this little idiot counted wrong and he's been gone 30 or more days instead of 29.

The difference for anyone that doesn't understand is this, 29 days or less and you are AWOL. A serious offense but usually punished by a field grade article 15 and quick boot from the service. 30 or more days is desertion, with much more serious consequences.

Look at the upside...if he remains at large 30 days he will have committed a second act of desertion which will result in a second felony charge and conviction.

In time he will be brought to justice. Until then he will be living life as a fugitive, constantly looking over his shoulder, worried that his fingerprints are on file. Keep in mind, he'll even be a fugitive in Canada. They only reason he agreed to surrender is because he wasn't going to be given legal refugee status in Canada.

Snyder, a former combat engineer, left the United States in April 2005 while on leave to avoid a second tour in Iraq. He said he worked as a welder and at a children's health clinic in Canada.

Why do childern's health clinics in Canada need welders on staff? I don't get it.

The little sh-t-bird does not know the meaning of the word "shame". If he did he would not be a little sh-t-bird.

As it is, he must be punished severely as an example to the world of the price of cowardice.

He's in Nambia. They nabbed one of his buddies on eight counts of tax fraud in Florida.

Ahh, I wonder if Nambia has an extradiction treaty with the USA or has he escaped the long arm of the law?

From the pic it looks like he doesn't have much experience with physical labor.
