All,
I personally salute all members of the armed forces, all civilian contractors (I personally know 4 men there in civilian support roles for the military), and everyone else supporting our efforts in the War On Terror regardless of where they may be stationed. There are military and civilian personnel in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere that are members of Free Republic who do monitor this website. I'd like them to see how much we support them with a thread DEDICATED to them.
The purpose of this thread is for FReepers to simply "sign" it with words of support OR simply a period or something so their name appears on it.
God has blessed this country with the finest, smartest and most dedicated military men and women the world has ever seen. They voluntarily enlist and go to fight for the freedoms that we enjoy, to protect us from further attack and to ensure that our children live in a future world of peace. Sadly, many don't come home but an organization I belong to does everything they can, on a family by family basis, to show their love and support for those that don't make it back.
They need to know that we love them, God loves them and outside of a limited number of America haters, we, as a country, overwhelmingly support them.
Please ping this far and wide..I don't have a number of how many should "sign" it to show support (please sign only once), but the more we can get, the better it will be..
My personal note to those fighting men and women worldwide who are reading this..I salute you and may God bring you home safely..

To the Troops! You're not forgotten nor taken for granted.

You are dearly loved, cared for, prayed for, and celebrated as champions of the God-given freedoms we hold precious.
Please know that your critics,detractors, and a grossly biased mainstream media are standing on sinking sand.
You should know straightaway that some of them have crossed the line as treasonous, seditious sell-outs; given their "patriotism" to political ambition, fifteen minutes of pitiful visibility, or innate hatred of the American way of life...BUT...
You should also be reassured that the true heart and soul of our beloved America salutes you; relentlessly supporting you and your herculean efforts to replace tyranny with freedom, ignorance with enlightenment, and barbarism with civility.
May God watch over you... protect you.. and grant you success in every endeavor.
And may God continue to shine the light of the Gospel and His many blessings on the United States of America.

I pray for all Americans overseas, in whatever capacity they serve, that they will be courageous in the face of danger, and proud of their decisions to serve. I ask God to bless them with good instincts, and that if it be His Will that they be taken from this Earth, His Comforter will be with all the loved ones left behind. It's all I can do, but I do it every night.
