Imus is so phony. He's like a little dog that wants to be petted real bad.

He gives Kerry his forum. Next Kerry will go on Oprah or Letterman to show us "it's all good."

Fred Grandy??? As in Gopher from Love Boat?

The very same! Check out his bio: Grandy & Andy Show. Another funny thing on the show is that Fred, who is a vegan, promises to eat a bacon cheeseburger if the Republicans maintain control of the House (Grandy's a Republican, but believes they'll lose the House). His partner on the show promises to find the biggest and juiciest burger around for the event (Andy Parks is still confident the House will remain in the 'R' camp).

I suspect from his (Gibson's) attitude that on the inside he was thinking "This is very bad for our side."

----------------------------------------

yep. These media people seem to believe that we will need to be told what to think and how to interpret what we've seen and heard. Their motto should be "Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?"

Actually the whole episode is a Freudian slip... Kerry thinks he was too smart to "get stuck" in Viet Nam. In fact, he is very proud that he managed to "bravely" get out of country in just 4 months. He was too good for "getting stuck" so he didn't. From the way the thing played out in 04 it looks like his arrogance was so bad that his fellow officers were glad to see the SOB gone.

Gen Mc Innerney on Fox just called for his resignation - it's about time . . .I've been hoping this would be the final straw for Kerry since yesterday. He is and has been a disgrace to our brave and proud military.

I'm sure that Kerry was sympathetic when Trent Lott made a misworded joke at Strom Thurman's 100th birthday party and had to resign his leadership position as a result.

actually, now tht i recall correctly, it used to be charles that added some credibility to the program.

don't know a station that carries it anymore - got laura ingraham now.

if he's a punk he should get "punk'd". i hope he gets as flamed as kerry. our kids our over there getting killed at a higher rate to effect the outcome of this election and these jackasses are trying to score points with the press.

kerry is such a jerk, trying to say that it was a botched joke. he is toast. i hope he comes someplace where i can get within shouting distance of him!

what a creep!

If you can get the morning show on WMAL (streaming or otherwise) please listen - -it's funny, informative and just the best "stuck in DC traffic" radio to listen to. Grandy is the best --really fast on his feet --
Their website is: http://www.wmal.com/home.asp

Mike Gallagher called John O'Neil yesterday. O'Neil referred to Kerry as that "creature" --- called Kerry a "soulless creature."

Chris Matthews is out and about declaring that he watched the Kerry speech and read the transcript several times and sees no insult to the troops just a joke so nuanced that dumb military families didn't get it.

Matthews is still hoping that Kerry runs and wins in 2008 so Matthews $4.3 million dollar purchase of a summer place on Nantucket Island near Theresa's summer place will pay off for him. He signed the papers a few days after Kerry's defeat in 2004.

Peace Corps Boy's technicolor wet-dream of being the Summer Sage to Kerry's Winter Soldier dies hard.

Chris Matthews, no road too low, no lie too vile, no suck-up too grotesque.

Gibson and Imus are in damage control mode.

I can feel the waves of stammering idiocy from here - no signal is necessary.

It is probably apocryphal. At the time (1989), I was still a clueless liberal working for a Dem congressman. I heard the story from other Dem interns.

I used to find Matthew's insider perspective from working for Tip O'Neil interesting. but I haven't watched in a long time. My experience is that people who grew up with corrupt political machines in th NE take them for granted. What an unfortunate waste of a Catholic education!

I think he hates them because they didnt line up in lockstep to vote for him in 2004.

"How could you NOT vote for me you simpletons? I'm a VETERAN!."

Kerry was in Nam for what 3 months? One month was training in a safe place.

He enlisted in the Naval "reserves" which he and other Dems disgracefully equate with Draft Dodging. Kerry thought he would be assigned stateside or at least on a safe mission. He also went for the Swiftboats when he thought they were like Coast Guard (he was trying to emulate the other JFK, he even took his movie cameras with him), but the mission changed to the more hazardous river patrol. He high tailed it after acquiring 3 Purple Hearts (a little known rule to go home early).

Kerry is getting his just deserts.

The more I listen to Limbaugh the more impressed with his ability to see through the smoke and break it down.

Welcome to a good place.

JRochelle, John Kerry is the joke. I wasn't laughing when I was still a Democrat. But, I sure am now.
