DES MOINES, Iowa A Democratic Congressional candidate from Iowa is canceling a campaign event later this week with Senator John Kerry.
Brucy Braley says Kerry's recent comments about the Iraq war were inappropriate. Braley's decision to distance himself from Kerry came as a furor grew from comments Kerry made about the Iraq War during a campaign stop in California on Monday.

Kerry has become so comfortable insulting people that he let his guard down.
If you listen to him for the last few years, its just one insult after another.
He has become accustomed to a butler wiping his butt, a rich widow footing his bills, and insulting anyone he disagrees with.
Bothced Joke or not, he owes an apology and resignation.

Kerry insulted the troops, before he didn't insult the troops.

Why are the Democrat candidates who are former members of the military not jumping to the defense of their fellow soldiers? Because they are more pro-Democrat then they are Pro-Military.

Kerry is to appear at 5:30 p.m. today at 2 Logan Square in Philadelphia. Casey, a fellow Democrat, is leading incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum in the polls.

LMAO! I love the Magnificent Bastard addition.

Kerry said what he said and meant what he said because the context of the statement was not about President Bush it was about individuals getting an education. He called our troops dumb and for that he needs to leave the Senate. He's pulled the same thing time after time so this isn't a single gaff, it's his true feelings.

But if Kerry's comments were about Bush why would any candidate need to distance themselves from Kerry and those comments?

Sherlock Holmes couldn't have deductively reasoned it better.
His own people know it's a line of crap and are acting accordingly.

Hey, class of '98! Some joker on another thread last night was talking crap about the class of 98 attitude.
IMO anyone who has been on FR for at least 8 years deserves some deference.
Eight years in web time is how many eternities?
Anyway, at a minimum Kerry's comments are going to be a distraction. Even if candidates buy his explanation they know it will be hard to be seen with someone perceived to be trashing the troops. This would get them off message if they had a message!

"Enough is enough. We're not going to stand for this," Kerry said. "We are going to stay in their face with the truth."
After the roar of approvals from his supporters, Kerry continued, "However, over the next couple of weeks, I will too busy to stay in their faces as I have other engagements to attend to, i.e. changing the tires on my serotta, and waxing my skis for the upcoming season. KEEP THE FIGHT GOING!" Tepid, sporadic clapping with quizzical looks around.

This made me smile..Otherwise I am unable to get my sense of humor about Kerry..
He has slammed the troops of two wars now and I am steamed because of the great harm he done..He knew what he was saying..and the Republicans did not misinterpret..We'll use it,sure..but we are NOT misinterpreting..
Kerry is a lying traitor.

I bet Hillary is the happiest woman on the earth right about now. She's probably dancing around, clicking her hooves together like she's been given another box of FBI files.
