Dems hold record 15-point edge over GOP (MSM still skewing the numbers)

WASHINGTON - The final pre-election NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll suggests that Democrats continue to have a significant advantage heading into the midterms that take place exactly one week from Tuesday.

They hold a 15-point lead — tied for the largest ever in the survey — over Republicans in voters' preference for control of Congress. President George W. Bush's approval rating remains mired below 40 percent. And more than 60 percent feel less confident that the war in Iraq will come to a successful conclusion, the largest number ever on that question.

Guess PMSNBC doesn't believe John Kerry needs to apologize for attacking the military.

A national poll, registered instead of likely voters, and a MOE greater than + or - 3. IOW, garbage.

Figured all this out. The DBM & The Democrats have been vastly overstating their superiority in polling so that when they do lose, they can cry foul with (in their lunatic denial) some measure of (imagined) credibiltiy. Can't you just hear them now? "Why these votes HAVE to be corrupted by the Right; there HAS to be voter fraud in favor of Republicans - ALL OUR POLLS TOLD US WE COULDN'T LOSE!!!"

That's why they've oversampled Democrats in their polls all year to get the numbers they needed for this plan. That's why it makes the front page and lead story of every DBM News Venue. And that's why they've already deployed a battery of lawyers everywhere. Wait and see. When they lose (and they will), this is what they'll say.

Because all Congressional elections are local not nationwide and the media takes nationwide polls.

And he WOULDA won too if only the masses had believed the phoney exit polls and stayed home instead of voting.

Yellow journalism. Expect it from the Left every election cycle from now on.

The phoney polls are the Left's cited proof that Kerry really won in 2004.

Pravda was more honest in their methods.

Elementary my dear Watson, National Polls and Local Polls are not matching up and they know it. This is all disguised at dissuading GOP voters from showing up at the polls. Turnout still wins elections.

I thought national polls aren't reliable indicators of mid-term elections, because everybody always thinks the other congresspeople are jerks who should be voted out, but their own guy is okay.
