Kerry digs a deeper hole

Did John Kerry (D-Mass.) help himself in his Seattle news conference this afternoon to explain his astonishing remarks yesterday which sounded like an elitist shot at the intelligence of members of the U.S. military serving in Iraq? Short answer: no.
An angry Kerry tried to give his supporters and Democrats something to fight back with when he said: My statement yesterday, and the White House knows this full well, was a botched joke about the president and the presidents people, not about the troops.
If anyone thinks that a veteran, someone like me whos been fighting my entire career to provide for veterans to fight for their benefits, to help honor what their service is, if anybody thinks that a veteran would somehow criticize more than 140,000 troops fighting in Iraq and not the president and his people who put them there, theyre crazy. Its just wrong
.
But heres the problem. In his moment of high dudgeon, he may have made matters worse. It probably wasnt a good idea to accuse everyone who saw the video of his campaign appearance and thought he was disparaging the IQ of U.S. troops of being crazy.

Well said, brother.
Thank you for your service and Welcome Home.
Also, my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to your son.

The Heritage Foundation says that our military has a higher, not lower education.

Yes, just another of the MANY reasons Kerry, the commie gigolo, should be fed to the hogs --- but they would not touch that POS.

The question now on the table is - will Kerry have the courage to take a principled resignation before the election on Tuesday? Or will he stay on as a sparring punching bag to doom his party before Big Tuesday '08?
Don't forget BOXER/Hilary in 08!

He doesn't realize that it's a pattern of behavior on his part and not just a one shot deal.

D-student Kerry shoots himself and his dopey democrat party in the foot with a 155 mm howitzer shell.
Nice move, a-hole.

I did wonder who told Kerry that he had a sense of humour worth sharing.

I read the comments; most of them disgusted me.
The libs aren't defending Kerry, (how could they?), but attacking Bush.
Numbnuts.

The Democrats sole position was "We're not Republicans"....which is not a stance at all. Kerry just gave them a position, as arrogant elitists.
As I say, boom!

Beyond this incident, Kerry needs to be punished for suggesting that Teresa is sexy and therefore reminding us that she and he actually...well...you know...
Some things are beyond the pale.

Nice aim, idiot! Write yourself up for another phony 3 purple hearts!

He has two choices now:
- Apologise immediately, and look like an insincere creep.
- Brazen it out, and look like a complete arsehole.
Place your bets.
