At the recent annual meeting of News Corporation, parent of Fox News, I informed chairman Rupert Murdoch that Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show that he made a financial contribution to Tennessee Democratic Senate candidate Harold Ford.

In 2004 Bill O'Reilly made a big deal about the fact that News Corp donated to both parties but favored the 'Rats 2-1.
And while we are asking questions, why did Fox put that horrible, lame show on between 1 p.m and 2 p.m. EST just when I am trying to eat lunch? It is worse than that audience participation show they used to have, and that is difficult to achieve.
FNC is actually left of center in much of its coverage and political orientation. You don't notice it only because virtually all other old media is even further to the left.
I think it started before then. I noticed it when they changed their daytime lineup several weeks ago. I just turn it off, or put the food channel on for a while.
People kid themselves when they say that FNS is a conservative news outlet. They are not. Most of their lineup is left leaning, just not as in your face as CNN. FNS has been hyping the polls and boosting the "Rats just like everyone else. With the exception of John Gibson, Neal Cavuto and Britt Hume I don't think any of the rest of their lineup is watchable.
To snatch up more of the business of the regular MSM as they continue to droop.
Perhaps another right-leaning organization will have to come in to fill the gap as Murdoch reaches for more power.
Doubly so for Chris Wallace himself.
Secondly, many businesses and business men give money to candidates from both parties as "proctection money" against governmental over-reach. Microsoft learned this the hard way a few years back.
And lastly, AIM (Accuracy in Media) is an oxymoron given their take on this, as the headline is anything but accurate.
it is hardly believable except that fox might want a bigger slice of the msm that they have not already taken!!!!
but who would support this affirmative action hero who's father calls white reporters, "crackers"????
Cause he purty...as we say in the South.
Actually, I've noticed a change in Fox since the Saudis purchased a chunk of News Corp. to bail Rupert Murdock out of a financial jam. Fox gives more airtime to jihadist/Wahhabist groups like CAIR than any other network.
Also, Murdock's newspaper, the NY Post, has endorsed the Hildebeast.
Grr.
I think that Fox is being forced by the Saudis to soft peddle Islamic jihad. Also, I think that Murdock fully anticipates a changing of the guard in DC from Republican to Democrat now and in 08 and that News Corp. and it's affiliates are deliberately distancing themselves from conservatives so that the big Dems will show up on Fox.
In my opinion, Fox really isn't a conservative network.
Actually, they do this every election year.
A few months before the election, usually starting sometime in summer they start to switch more to the Dems. Not that they are every really pro- Rep, they are a center left nework that allows conservaive voices, but even less Rep friendly during this period. IMO, they are cowards. they believe if the Dems win, they'll go after FOX. They are probably right about that, but giving Dems some cover right before the election won't save them anymore then being bi-partian with Dems has helped the President.
After the election, when Rep win, all returns to normal. Maybe if they thought the Reps would punish them, they wouldn't play this game but they know the Rep won't target them for puff pieces for dems towards the end of an election cycle.
I don't know about helping Ford, but they are roasting Kerry right now.
Murdoch is not a conservative; he's a corporatist. There is some overlap of corporatism with conservatism, but also significant contrasts (such as on personal morality, gun control, regulatory issues and scope/size/role of government).
'cuz FOX is the same as CNN--next qurestion??
The majority of all Fortune 500 corporations grease both sides of the tracks.
