I cannot say I've ever seen a political party so readily self-destruct in one day. It's amazing, isn't it? My head's spinning over how quickly and messily this has blown up all over the democrats.
And watching the die-hard Kool-Aid chuggers like Chris Matthews trying anything to make this a positive for the Dims - I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

Steve McMahon on chrissy's show now saying that its all just a distraction, and it will be forgotten within one news cycle, and anyway it was a joke about Bush that he messed up anyway, and Republicans who never served should know better.

I'd like to know if PMSNBC producers called numerous Republicans until they found one who would defend Kerry?!?
Why don't they have a R. on there who is critical of Kerry? Why is Chrissy Matthews a hack propagandist for the 'Rats? Why does the sun rise in the east?

I have always hated Armey's way of doing business and am glad he is gone, gone, gone.

You're way off base here. The problem is, Kerry refused to apologize for misspeaking. Kerry is too damn proud to admit he made a mistake in his speech and apologize to the troops. A real man admits his mistakes and accepts responsibility. Kerry is not a real man.

So, are you saying Kerry meant if you were lazy and didn't study, you'd end up as President? Sounds rather lame from a C student...

I'm disappointed in the president. Kerry's joke was directed at him, you can tell if you read Kerry's words in their context. I hate to say it but Matthews (and Dick Armey) are correct. This is feigned outrage over something that didn't happen.
Please...if it was directed at the president kerry should have no problem apologizing to the troops...hes an ass
To: babygene
No, Tony Snowe already mentioned Kerry's remarks this morning.
Tony may have even said that Kerry should apologize to the troops. It was really a dare, and Kerry took the bait. He has given the president the opening that he needed to label the Democrats as unpatriotic.

We need to keep this going. Call the nearest Democrat and make them go on the record over this.
My congressman said he would mail me a letter. This isn't over.
It shouldn't be for anyone.
