It's not cool to gloat.
so let me gloat.
Kerry picked the PERFECT time for this aggregious faux-pas.
Smack dab in the middle of the week exactly one week before an important election.
Kerry should be forced to resign as a Senator of the United States and nothing less. What he said was indefensible.
Looks like the pubbies are going to run with this. It's all that'll be talked about until election day.
thank you JFK.

Matthews trying to make Bush the issue. Isn't it dishonest to assume Kerry sad the troops are dumb when Kerry meant Bush is dumb. In his dreams, Matthews will make the Kerry story a Bush dishonesty story.

This is how the dems will combat this: Kerry will apologize when Bush apologizes for misleading the nation on the evidence of WMDs in Iraq. I BET some stupid liberal will make a statement similar to this in the next 24 hours. They already have.

I'd be happy to get your take on exactly what Kerry DID mean, because I'm having a hard time understanding his "explanation". Was he supposedly trying to say that if you don't do well in school, you will end up as a President who gets in hot water by invading a middle eastern country? If so, do you REALLY believe this is what he meant?

OK, all you Lou Dobbs haters..take notice!
He is coming on at the top of the hour and is fighting mad at John Kerry!
"This is one of the most arrogant, and in my opinion, one of the most elitist statements that could have been made.
And I've got news for Senator Kerry..There are alot of E-4s and E-5s out there who are a lot smarter than HE is"..
You go Lou!!

All I can say after this Kerry implosion is...
Foley who? Talk about wiping that story completely off the headlines even though the MSM has been trying to keep it alive. It really puts things in perspective and I think it is going to energize a ton of people that were turned off.

Since the president has a Yale BA and a Harvard MBA (Masters), how can he be the 'uneducated' one?
Where is the context for that????

"This isn't over." Every single Republican, in every race, needs to ask their opponent to go on record on this.
Does Claire McCaskill think that John Kerry should apologize to our troops and their families? John Kerry himself says that it was a "botched joke", why doesn't he think that our brave troops deserve his apology then.

He's unable to separate himself from Democratic candidates. It's an old habit.

If you're not smart you wind up in Iraq. That is basically what he said.
How is that directed at Bush?
No...he was insulting all the troops.

Yeah, let's hear it for E-4s.

"Kerry's joke was directed at him, you can tell if you read Kerry's words in their context."
I don't buy that, Kerry said exactly what he meant to say, and the context was telling a roomful of CA college students how important THEIR education is so that THEY don't end up "stuck in Iraq" - if he were trying to make a lame "joke" about Bush (whose educational achievements match or surpass Kerry's) he would have worded the whole thing quite differently.
